Breitbart.com : House votes to censure New York Rep. Rangel

Rangle should be in Allenwood Prison. The chairman of the tax writing "ways and means" committee getting off scott free for cheating on his taxes among other things is an absolute disgrace. His Harlem district is a disgrace maybe even worse than the old Murtha Johnstown PA one.

Big Journalism : Media Limits Focus To Assange, Ignores Bigger Picture

Excellent point about not degrading the word terrorist a la the overused term "racist". However I wish we had a little bit left in the US of what conquered those who made Putin look like a baby boomer commie. Even Putin would make sure Julian did not make it home from dinner some night if he tried his act on the Russians. I can't even imagine what Putin's cold war era counterparts would have done to him. Manning is a mental defective. We really need to have a public hanging of one of these guys to let me know our country hasn't completely and irretrievably lost its footing.

Big Government : Fear Factor: Sarah Palin and 2012

I like Ryan a lot for the budget committee chair. He reminds me a lot of John Kasich back when he worked toward cutting the deficits. Clinton takes credit for what Kasich did. I would like to see a conservative who has a lot of global business experience, no more academics or Wall Streeters or people too much inside DC or Manhattan but with the verbal skills to talk straight to the people. We need solid track records to look at and judge candidates by objective facts. I hope Obama is the last cult candidate we have for a long time. The love and hate obsessions over candidates is silly. They should all be examined in an unemotional way. The media absolutely failed last time.

Big Government : Fear Factor: Sarah Palin and 2012

I have nothing against her personally and I agree with most of what I hear from her. My point is that she was elected to Wasilla city council in elections where she got about 500 of less than 1000 votes and was elected as mayor of Wasilla in an election where the total votes was just a bit over 1000. Wasilla is a small town, smaller than my own and I certainly would not consider those on my town council or the mayor qualified to be president of the USA. I believe she was appointed to the oil and gas commission by Frank Murkowski , the governor and quit that job in less than a year. While Alaska is the largest geographical state, its population is smaller than San Francisco. I am not disparaging her knowledge of the oil business or anything about her but I do not see where she has the in depth experience of the global power struggles and international business. Obama was the same before he took office. When a bomb hits South Korea , she or Obama for that matter have to ask somebody for their knowledge. McCain was immediately able to speak about regime change in North Korea. There are people who work for P&G , for example , who live with families throughout China to learn how they live , wash their clothes , buy and sell their goods etc. There are US business execs who travel extensively back and forth from the US and China or know what it is like to invest in Iraq in the oil business or set up shop in Russia or Poland. They have lots of first hand knowledge. We need people with real experience. We have had 3 presidents, namely Clinton, Bush and Obama who entered the office of the President as trainees. I just think there are people who are not really interested in the job of president but who could offer this country a hand in this very difficult time. I am hoping people we don't even know about , just like happened in the mid term election, come to the front to give the country the benefit of their valuable experience. That is just me. I don't see any Dem I could even imagine ever voting for and I think our only hope is from someone who comes forward with real experience and knowledge. Personally I defended Palin because of all the unfair attacks on her but I do not understand the absurd hatred of her or the over the top infatuation with her. I wish her and her family well, hope she makes a good living but I really hope better folks come forward for the sake of the country. Goverors like McDonnell from VA, Chris Christie, Haley Barbour, Mitch Daniels or Bobby Jindal seem like better candidates from the current crop of politicians. I would like to see people with more than just regional knowledge however to get our manufacturing and energy sectors working sensibly.

Big Government : Fear Factor: Sarah Palin and 2012

While I agree with most of Palin's positions and like much about her , I really do not think I would vote for her. We are living through a cult of personality president and our last 3 presidents have spent much of their time with on the job training. I think we need someone genuinely seasoned in understanding international powers and global business. While using the Constitution has seemed a little foreign lately to our politicians it would be one of the easier aspects for a future president to get up to speed on. I just don't see Palin as what the country needs as president. With that said, I don't have any real affection for anyone out there but I think I have finally come to the conclusion I very well could sit out the next election if Palin is the GOP candidate and this is something I have not done for decades. I have not voted for any Dem , even on the local level, in decades but I feel Palin would be a mistake the country cannot afford. I guess I should be prepared to be called all sorts of names for stating my feelings but I really don't care. The next presidential election will probably be the most important one of my lifetime and there are so many great people in this country whose lives are immersed in a real solid understanding of what is happening in this world both in terms of the power struggles and business and I hope some of them come forward and give our country the real leadership we need. We need journeymen not cliches or more years of on the job training.

Big Government : Why Is a Government-Run Healthcare Lover a 2012 GOP Frontrunner?

The 10th amendment ,as I understand it, leaves these matters to the people of individual states just as it was with abortion prior to Roe. If the people of Mass. or Miss. choose to have different ways to deal with real problems like the exponential spiral of health care costs, they should be allowed the freedom to fail. As anyone who has ever invested in a stock or a business venture knows mistakes are part of trying and often precede success. Edison said about his invention of the light bulb, " I know 10,000 things that don't work." There is a big difference between the people of a state deciding how they want to handle their business and DC forcing policies down their throat. For some reason the people of Mass. seemed to have wanted what they got and they had the right to fail according to the constitution.

Big Government : Saturday Open Thread: John Paul Edition

Granted, this is my opinion as far as I know but if you look at how the Church handles abortion and excommunication in Canon 1398 below, I believe the priests and co-conspirators who hide the crimes are certainly worthy of automatic excommunication. God will be their judge but in my opinion they have forfeited their Catholicism by their actions even if they still remain hidden. If the Church feels that a nun who has an abortion but does not disclose it is excommunicated by her action I cannot imagine God would forgive the child molesters without sincere repentance and the required punishment. The damage has hurt so many faithful Catholics let alone the children and their families themselves. Canon 1398 provides that, "a person who procures a successful abortion incurs an automatic (latae sententiae) excommunication." This means that at the very moment that the abortion is successfully accomplished, the woman and all formal conspirators are excommunicated.

Big Journalism : Once More into the Breach, a Maher Wrap-Up

The teabaggee thing did not work for me. Playing the sexual innuendo game with low lifes like these is not the way to go. You should have told Maher and Kos to go to a Tea Party and find a man their own size and call him a Teabagger to his face. Granted , they might not be able to find men that short but a healthy tween would be good enough for me. There is no point in making their show more appealing by your presence. They deserve no respect whatsoever, This is war and they are the enemy. I don't think the country can survive another couple of years like we have had. It is not really fun and games time in my view.
