If the democrats suddenly decided en masse to withdraw their support of elites and the policies that support them, and turn that energy toward the people, in support of social programs, health care, education, environment, etc, then all the democrats along with every other reasonable non-elite would vote for the Democratic candidate. It would be a landslide with benefits: any attempt at election rigging would be clear as a bell, and the voice of the people would finally be heard.

Except for one thing. They can't have that. The ones who are really in charge. The ones to whom both democrats and republicans answer. They would be exposed. The Democrats are under elite orders not to give it away, and, as a reward they get to partake in some of the elite perks. It is as simple as that.

The game is rigged. There is no way to win. It is a senseless and disempowering ritual that is foisted upon us by those very entities that run everything. It is your participation that gives them power, not your vote. Your vote means nothing. The president is decided upon and installed. Do you actually think that these über elites would take the chance that the people would elect a president that would, in essence, take them down? Really now. They control EVERYTHING. The only thing you can do is withdraw your support. Begin by not voting in their evil ritual of disempowerment.

If Trump wins the election, it will be because the elites want it that way, not ordinary people. He got a lot of work done for them, kept his promises to them, made them very very wealthy, and he stands to do it again after 2020. That and that alone is why Donald Trump will "win".

Thank you, Tom, for publishing this work. And thank you Dr. Ortiz. If there is only one thing we should concentrate on in this day and age, it is indeed our history. Americans are satisfied with a narrow interpretation of how we came to be, and it is rare for them to seek beyond their "pledge of allegiance / rocket's red glare" summation of American history. We see quite a different perspective when we understand the way our current national culture came to be. This article has exposed a deeper layer of history, which sheds much light on our current condition. Just knowing our history may be enough to begin to turn the rusty cogwheels of our decaying national character toward more constructive ends.
