Not having Daniell is a great loss - love Ean too. Hope they resurface - whoever wins this Design Star could certainly use their help.

Amen! Neither Candice - who has the very best show on hgtv - and is so very talented nor Gennieve (sp?) for that matter are doing themselves any good by appearing - and that is all it seems to be - appearing - on this show. The format is lousy - my guess is that many of us would have liked to have heard critiques on the designs that would educate the competitors and the audience. Not caustic remarks....led by Vern who presents himself as a totally different person than the "caring sentimental guy" he was or pretended to be. Bad move Vern.
A really lousy show trying to be either The Apprentice or Survivor - not what the audience is looking for.

Just got to watch the episode this evening along with David's comments -
It seems to me more than likely that Nina came off as softer and less forceful because she was in the bottom two last week.
While Dan may be great guy I think the cooperative spirit was because Nina as shocked by how poorly she fared last week and therefore everyone could spend their energy on being productive and not spend it on trying to tune Nina out or challenge her. I think Emily made a great comment - when she said Nina as a winner was harder to be around. It will be interesting to see how Nina behaves next episode, hopefully she learned a lesson last week - I'm not counting on it.
