I can't find your original post that I responded to, maybe they deleted that part of the thread. I was going to add that it was mostly Californians who defaulted and you are right, it was only the loans taken out in the past few years that are the problem. But in the end, anyone who signs for a loan they can't afford is responsible for their own mistake, nobody else.

Thanks for proving my point, antifascist. They had the power to say *no* to mortgages for homes and loans they couldn't afford but they didn't. If you trot over to google and search for the demographics of who has been defaulting on those loans, you'll get a clue. And thanks for caring how many innocent people have had their livelihoods destroyed, after so many years of hard work, because of it. Hopefully, that won't happen to you someday. I'm not sure what we are going to do... but I do hope we bring back school testing so the younger generation coming after you is a little smarter. Have a nice life.

Bush made mistakes with the SEC, the Dems made mistakes with Fannie/Freddie and ACORN. Do you know how to do your own homework and have the brains to make balanced judgments, evildoer??? Small business people employ the most in this country and have had credit pulled out from under them, because of all these slugs who took out mortgages they couldn't afford. We have 17% unemployment in this area, not counting the self employed out of work, because the only employers are small business and local govt. What is the Dems answer? Tax them more! Unionize using legalized extortion! Let employees take over a business they didn't earn the rights to, while starting class wars! It takes a lot of courage and risk to start a small business, something most politicians aren't capable of. We are "The Forgotten Man." We are also going to give up, it's just not worth it, anymore. Not with this crew in power. PS, evildoer, do your homework and figure out who stood in the way of oversight into illegal accounting procedures at Fannie/Freddie and whose pockets were being packed. Ignorance, irresponsibility and bias is destroying this country and installing the corrupt in power, make no mistake about that. Not worth investing in, anymore, eat our dust.
