i`m currently using same model but instead of upgrading to 3.0.1 ,i unlocked the phone with redsn0w 0.8 using 3.0 version.at first it showed that no service but after rebooting and left it for a few seconds in the shut down mode,it turned out to be working just fine. and DON`T TURN OFF the 3g option, without the 3g being enabled, there will be NO SIGNAL(malaysia MAXIS) hope this will help you solve the problem. i would like to thanks the developers for your effort and hard working.thank a lot!!
