"respecting others' rights to believe differently"... that is exactly what I mean.

I was right there with you until the last paragraph. I think Christians have the responsibility to be tolerant of others, whether they be of another faith, or of no faith. Isn't that what Christ would do? Yes it is. Aren't Christians supposed to strive to be like Him? Yes they are. But before you atheists go around saying "Yeah! I told you so!", let me just say that I also think that atheists have the responsibility to be tolerant of Christians and/or any other faith. Just because you don't agree with someone's beliefs does not give you the right to badger them or worse, persecute them! Just accept that people believe what they believe and if they want to know more about what you believe, they will ask. Not too hard to figure out.

That is an EXCELLENT point!! The only modern day example of this type of man that I can think of is Governor John Huntsman of Utah. He is a multi-billionaire who has used his fortune for many great causes and refuses to back away from conservative values. We need more men like him, and we need them on a national scale!!

I believe Mitt Romney meets or exceeds ALL of YOUR stated qualifications. He has my nomination.

...I apologize for not responding sooner, I was away for the weekend. Anyway, with regard to being a man who can respect another man who cries; I do not think the two are mutually exclusive. However, after reading many of your posts, I have surprisingly discovered that I agree with quite a bit of what you have to say. You are obviously a patriot of this country who will not stand idly by, nor will you accept the idea of treasonous behavior in the name of "reform". I salute you for this stance, and although I do not agree with one hundred percent of your comments, I look forward to reading more of your posts.

I think that's a pretty awesome point of view coming from someone who doesn't believe in God. Thanks for sharing! I have a very strong belief in God, but I respect your right not to feel the same way. I wish that more "non-believers" shared your views. Maybe they do, and I'm just not aware of it. Anyway, thanks again!

You ARE free to believe whatever you like! But my driver's license says "BLD" under hair color (BLD is for bald, BLN is for blonde). Just thought I'd enlighten you.

Legislating that abortion be illegal doesn't take away a woman's "right to choose", it simply makes her choice one of breaking the law or following the law. After all, a woman has the "right to choose" whether or not she wants to rob a bank, doesn't she? Abortion is murder and should be illegal.
