The news this morning had one of the parents of the kids that instigated this whole thing. He said his son felt bad and ashamed. He feels bad and ashamed because HE WAS CAUGHT you arse wipe. I can't wait for the next set of quotes from the parents. "They really are good kids - I don't believe they intended to hurt anyones feelings - They shouldn't be punished as they have suffered enough, etc., etc." If someone had treated my Grandmother this way I would not advocate killing them, but I would probably institute what is called hedge row justice.
A .45 caliber and a shotgun at close range and they both are alive? These chumps need some gun training in order to insure a cleansing of the gene pool.
I remember when my son brought home a Madagascar Hissing Cockroach from school one day. School was finishing up for the year and he was the only volunteer. New cage, water dish and a freaked out wife. Other than that it worked out fine - he only hissed at me - go figure.
Definition of Insanity? Watching the Mariners night after night and expecting a different result.
And when they are caught, from the parents " But they shouldn't be punished, they are really nice kids, they just made a mistake, they deserve another chance, it's not their fault, nobody was hurt". Object lesson for the kids - burn their parents houses down in front of them.
The cost of putting something into space is approximately $10,000 for every Kilo of material. Same to bring it down. That being said, it sounds far sighted for a change and I wish them every success.
Perhaps the implication of slander struck a legal nerve as well. I use my experience as a veteran not to boast, but to validate my point that I understand what Freedom of Speech is, how it is fought for, and how it is misused.
Freedom of Speech is a wonderful right - one that I fought for and was wounded for in Viet Nam. Implication of slander and malicious commentary without the facts to support that freedom is unseemly and quite juvenile. Lynwoodsucks has a point - out of the 3.9 million hits - mostly due to webcrawlers I would suspect - must not be that lucrative. Otherwise you would not be soliciting for cash donations to maintain your site.
Ed, please refrain from making such idiotic comments. Stay on your little Town of Index Blog. I have known Charlie and his wife for 25 years. We always stopped in to have a beer and visit when we got up that way. They had a son the same year our first son was born and we enjoyed comparing how our children grew up. Was a great place for the community - everyone knew everyone. Places like this just don't happen - this on took since 1903 to develop.
