Big Government : Is Reince Priebus 'Shovel Ready' in Race For RNC Chair?

Any conservative still giving money or time to the republican party should seriously reconsider their actions. Support good candidates regardless of label and a pox on both major parties.

Big Government : Lincoln the 'Tyrant': The Libertarians' Favorite Bogeyman

"For me the root of such a characterization centers on the man’s motivations. " Tyrants always have the best of motivations. They only want unlimited power because they know better than the people.

Big Journalism : Obama Scrubs White House Website of Climate Change Promises, Media Mum

It's so sad that you are totally correct. I remember 1984 being required reading (so was animal farm) in school. I can only imagine the reaction now if a daring educator exposed young minds to the tools needed to protect themselves from propaganda and doublespeak.

Big Journalism : My Son's Textbook Denies Ronald Reagan and Pope John Paul II Their Rightful Place in History

With many kids it's only a matter of showing them a few times how different the same events are presented in textbooks from different periods or regions. They quickly pick up that almost everything they are told has built in biases and learn to investigate for themselves. I really believe that the reason courses such as logic and critical thinking are not taught in early grades is that educators don't want to face students who are really prepared to examine the material.

Big Journalism : D.C. Metro Police Escorted SEIU Protesters to Bank Of America Executive's Home

Unfettered democracies will always drift toward mob rule. The judicial branch is intended to serve as a check against this tendency. This article shows how far that responsibility has been abdicated. If there are no consequences then thugs will of course feel free to demand anything they desire with the threat of violence.

Breitbart.com : WH wants increased industry liability in oil spill

Real headline should be 'White House proposes new taxes on gas, heating oil, fertilizer and all other oil based products'. Some people might argue in favor of the new taxes I guess but there is no excuse for the way it's presented.
