9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : Steve Jobs tried to hire Linux founder a decade ago

It's hilarious how some visitors like you are trying to feed their ego and their megalomaniac thoughts, in order to cover up their absence of social interaction and their lowered importance their society in the real, everyday world. What mostly bothers me though, is the unfair fact that the more functional and socialy capable people have to waste precious time from their lives in order to filter out all this useless junk-commentary in order to read the witty and useful comments. Please do us and yourself a favor and climb back into your cave covered Android and Gentoo forums and leave us in our "tasteless" hassle-free world!...

9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : Apple updates Final Cut Pro X with multicam editing, broadcast monitoring, Photoshop support and mor

Apple announces the update as a "major" one, while you guys at 9to5mac refer to it as a minor. I'll agree with Apple this time, because EVERY "small/big" feature added to a pro application is always a 'major' update. And these new additions are extra welcome, as they should slowly start shutting the mouths of the increasingly annoying whiners (whether you're 'right' or 'wrong' for whining, we, the satisfied users, are extremely tired and DON'T want to hear more of your annoyance/ disappointment/ helpless situation... Go and 'play' somewhere else!)

Hey, buddy, are you sure you're referring to APPLE's iOS? Because I remember vividly my flawless experience with iOS 3 on my then iPhone 3G, where I NEVER recall reading on ANY news source any serious flaw such as this one on W7. As for the map 'issue', it's totally unrelated. You're comparing apples with oranges, as it was just a file containing your locations whereas the W7 one is a nasty lil device crashing trigger. So, unless you you read your 'news' & 'sources' from a Chinese website via lousy Google translation, you're better off finding completely new source of enlightenment...

9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : Stats showdown: iPhone 4S vs. iPhone 4

I remember back at the time of the introduction of 3GS, which was 'merely' an internal-parts upgrade in comparison to 3G and when the iPhone didn't have such a huge worldwide momentum as it has today. Even then, despite all the heavy, negative criticism by the media, Apple was breaking one record after the other, unlike any other company in the world. Until another company makes another 'revolutionary' phone ESPECIALLY in terms of software & ecosystem, the iPhone 4S - and ANY other forthcoming models - will continue to sell like there is no tomorrow...

9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : Apple steps up cat-and-mouse game: downgrading iOS becomes more difficult

From what I can judge from your comment, you personally haven't explored the 'world' of a jailbroken phone OR you aren't a tech savvy user (or both). Don't ge me wrong - it's perfectly fine if your both or at least one of previous mentioned categories, but on the other hand a jailbroken iPhone offers MUCH more than you've seen or experieced. Yes some of them might 'just tweaks', but nonetheless important tweaks many of the iPhone owners. The mods/ tweaks/ addons may vary from user to user, but here are just a few popular & basic ones: iPhone "Finder"/ file explorer, Detailed & costumized backup of files, fast access to important on/off toggles (WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, Notifications, etc.), automatic & costumized handling of calls & SMS, Enhanced and extended privacy features (including the hiding of apps, Call & SMS blacklist/ whitelist, costumized phone locking, etc.), a VERY WIDE selection of 'Lockscreen' tweaks/automations/information display, Bluetooth Sending/ Receiving of ALL your files (including music & video) to any other mobile, feature-rich & customized SMS communication, Automatic SMS delivery report, 5 or more icons on the Dock or on the Springboard (both per row & column) meaning more fast 'shortcuts' and much, MUCH more... Once again, nobody talked about these tweaks being of emergency need, but for some users it REALLY enhances their overall experience or make them feel more 'comfortable', especially when they're coming from other handset makers (Nokia, RIM, etc.) which offered SOME of the above mentioned features...

Hey hey hey! First of all, hold there all that Apple rage and tell us what the heck you are doing on a Mac site? As for the design-copy factor, are you stupid or you're just playing it??? The design the FIRST iPad had, with the well-rounded corners and the thick black bezel was a world-first design by... Apple! So, whether you want it or not, it's the iPad that has set the 'milestoneforge the specific design in the history of tablets/ touch devices... Now go back to your cheap android knock-off and leave us alone!

Users being upgraded to Firefox 4.x is win-win for everybody (users/webdesigners/website owners/Mozilla team/etc.). ON THE OTHER HAND, I personally find this a foul and unacceptable move from an open source team. I mean, you can 'excuse' private companies like Google for 'forcing'/pushing out their updates (via silent updates), but not an open source organization like Mozilla. They should have done it in more 'OPEN' way (pun intended)

No, he might have not, but just like me, he might have seen countless TV documentaries on how awful working conditions the average Chinese citizen has. And compared to that, the Foxconn workers are way above the standard. And all this is verified by friends of mine which have been to China for numerous business projects.

That's actually not a positive point you're mentioning towards Micro$oft - On the contrary, it actually highlights the huge gap between Win XP and their next OS, Win Vista.
