But, was Antonio abrasive and misleading? Well, maybe. But let's not forget that Antonio believes in himself and his talent, and has still to prove it. Hard to do so when competing against know-it-all formally trained designers, who constantly delegate you with the carpentry work. We've seen how Tashica went home because she had no design voice and couldn't prove herself in a competition dominated by formally trained designers. Antonio is older, and more versed in the design world, to know better. IMO, it was about the time for him to put his foot down and take a chance in design. I, for one, admire and not chastise him for that ! Sad to see Nathan go ; he tried too to make a mark of his own in this competition, prove this time that he's more than a graphics wizard. His failure comes to show that getting carpentry projects done is not easy task. No wonder designers in this competition are staying away from it, each time Dan or Antonio is around. However, even if Dan might have done it better, David is still the one with the innovation. It only makes sense that one good designer, down the road, would take from David's concept and push it to higher limits. As for the elimination, I was tired of Jen's atrocious colors. Her room was all scattered and out of scale ...while the woman had zero charisma. OT- I agree with what a poster had to say about too many real estate related shows on HGTV. It's BOORING! Dan- What can I say; the only white box to get true dimension and architectural interest. It looks luxurious, dynamic, and livable. By far, they had the best concept, space planning and creativity. Tory: very gutsy and unpredictable. But, it looks a bit like a mockup to me; not quite the finished, lived in thing. (Nevertheless, this mural concept and colors will be the inspiration of many teen rooms to come :) All the other rooms, seen near Dan 's or Nathan's, are falling flat and short on the wow factor. Jason's room might have shined this time, but not in yellow and beige. I think that his furniture arrangement and room balance was nicer than Jenny's. The matzos mosaics were cool, but they never managed to shine through, due to the atrocious, low contrast colors he picked.
