Perceptions of an Ambivert : Ayn Rand and The Fountainhead

You are absolutely right, Matangi. ne thing i don't understand is, why are these people trying to ape something that has already been said?Aren't the ideals of objectivism unique? Why do people strive to become another Howard Roark painfully knowing they cant become one?I wouldnt certainly blame these poor souls. Maybe we'll give them some time to analyse what's wrong and what's not. This i say, because, I needed time to come out of the restlessness and the tension that made me go insane, for about a month or so. I used to think about it 24/7 that would relate myself to Howard's character and unfortunately, i had my exams them. Fortunately i passed the exams with a not-so-bad s ore because i couldn't concentrate on anything but the book and this made me actively take part in forums and asking people what they thought of the philosophy.I was intrigued by it and asked a close friend for his opinion. Thankfully, he made me realise the truth. And from then on, have fought tremendously with my mind, trying to control the overpowering thought that would tell me to brand myself as an objectivist. I was no longer being myself then. I would shout at people and get irritated.hmmm, all seems like a mirage to me now.

You'll laugh your brains out if i say i actually carried the book to Tirupathi. My parents were dead against it but i wouldnt budge an inch. But i couldn't read it there which is another story!

I am still not able to digest the fact that i was actually insane for about a month.I have always prided myself as a deep thinker and an observer. But it still amazes me as to how I fell for the trap.hmmmmmmmmm!

Matangi, thanks a lot for the encouraging words. And thanks for recommending my post to your friends. ALl we will do now is propagate the truth and make the brainwashed people return to their religions.!!!!!:)
One bad habit with me is i type looooooong comments when such controversial topics are raised. Thanks for reading the above comment(a post perhaps??!!) with patience.
