I know exactly where this took place. I can't say for sure there wasn't cell service but I know further down, below Ripplebrook Ranger Station, where I was involved in an accident, there was no service. That being said, it doesn't hurt to try! The terrain is very mountainous and you're in a canyon. thoughts and prayers to the family! RIP
Being I've been involved in a fatal accident, condolences to the deceased family and friends. Thoughts and prayers to the other driver who now has to live with guilt/fact that someone died while they were behind the wheel, even though at this point, doesn't seem like it's their fault. Wishing this other driver a speedy recovery and well wishes moving forward and dealing a possible stressful situation.
Why can't bicyclists share the sidewalk w/ pedestrians instead of roads w/ cars? It doesn't matter if a car is going 1mph or 60mph. Both have the potential to kill. I think the bicyclists should only be allowed on roads where they can do the posted speed limit and sit in traffic like the rest of us, along with obeying all traffic laws if that's where they choose to ride.

Way to go Mr Mcschwinn and the city council! Lets try and make downtown that much more less attractive! Now if I only owned a parking lot or garage!! And whats the difference if there's turnover or not? The city is still getting "their" money aren't they?

All these are great ideas. But I have to ask 1 question, haha, how in the hell is Seattle going to get a clothing optional beach w/ all the up tights that are against Bikini Baristas??
