KOMO - Seattle, WA : Officials: Plan now for tsunami debris | Local & Regional | Seattle News, Weather, Sports, Breaking

The first link says "Debris fields are no longer visible." so thanks for proving me right. The second link is a blog about a former oceanographer who has gotten really good at predicting where and when things will land. Alas, he is not able to track it either. entering data into a computer and then reading what it spits out is not the same things as having a satellite track it which is what I was commenting on. You know sometimes it's best to remain silent and let people thing your an idiot. Then log in and remove all doubt.

The problem is it's not large enough to be tracked by satellite. It was, initially but since then a lot of stuff has either sunk or just broken apart from the main flotilla. So we know there's a lot of junk out there and it will probably come to our shore. The problem is we don't know how much or when. As we have all seen our government is woefully inept at preferring for the inevitable.

She claims that she's never eaten a hamburger cause it's killing a life and blah blah blah but she just 'recently' switched to vegetarian? You know, if you're going to make up a story for the press at least make it believable.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : WSP: Weather likely not a factor in fatal car crash | Local & Regional | Seattle News, Weather, Spor

Yeah, there is no place on 522 (the Monroe to Woodinville segment) where the speed limit is listed as 25. Not anywhere. In face when you get past Woodinville (traveling eastbound) the speed limit drops from 60 to 55. You are either confusing 522 with 2 where the speed limit bounces back and forth and is WAY to high for the road. Or you are under the impression that curves are to be taken at 25 regardless of the speed limit. No waitaminute. I got it! You're talking about the on ramp. Either way there is a difference between taking legal risks and breaking the law. This topic is about a guy who took a legal risk, he wasn't breaking the law.

Are you sure you are talking about the right highway? I live in Monroe also and have never seen anyone pass on 522 part of the reason being is that passing on 522 is illegal. Period. Doesn't matter if it's one car or several. That's what that double yellow line in the center means. Now 203 is a different story.

I especially like how Darin Miller implied that if a story is intriguing and well crafted than it doesn't really matter if it's stolen from someone else. I wonder if he would be as okay with that if it was his screenplay they had stolen from?

I have a purse that is designed for carrying a firearm. It has a separate compartment with a holster type of thing for the gun to be placed in. The compartment also has a locking zipper. If you feel the need to carry a gun (regardless if you have kids or not) at least try to be smart about it.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Motorcyclist dies of injuries in Kitsap Co. crash | Local & Regional | Seattle News, Weather, Sports

I don't see how this is random, horrible yes but not random. A rock slide is random, cars stopped on a highway for any reason may be annoying but it's not random. Yes, we have all had those moments of looking up suddenly 'oh crap' and slam the brakes on quick. But if you are driving a motorbike, you need to realize that you don't have the luxury of those moments. You do not have a roll cage, there are no air bags or crumple zones to attempt to protect you. Riders are, by the very nature of their vehicle, very very very vulnerable. As car drivers we need to pay very close attention to them when they are near but they cannot assume (or hope for that matter) all drivers do this.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Auburn motorcyclist killed in Blewett Pass crash | 911 | Auburn News

Curious as to where in the lane the motorcycle was placed? I've seen a lot of motorcycles that are not being driven in the center of the lane but instead hug the center/dividing line. This seems to me to be a unsafe way to drive but I have never driven a motorcycle so I don't know. Is there a correct place in the lane to keep your cycle?

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Pot backers get approval for Calif. ballot petitions | Seattle News, Weather, Sports, Breaking News

Okay legalizing the selling/distribution of Pot it in any state for any reason doesn't prevent the Feds from coming down on you. Decriminalizing it does not change this fact. You would not be breaking a state law but you would be breaking a federal law. They are trying to get enough states to break federal law to force the feds to change their laws. So far they have two states willing to break that law and 49 that aren't.

The article said that she applied for the permit last fall, when did she start running the business? I'm guessing it wasn't last fall, it was probably much earlier. She already has enough of a good reputation to get reputable catering companies to recommend the location. So she started a business before filling out the proper permits. Which I am pretty sure is illegal. So who's wrong here, the county for shutting her down or the woman who thinks that if you don't live in a big city the laws don't actually apply to you? It sounds as if the weddings (which incidentally can get noisy) annoyed her neighbors so they complained to the county. Now if she had gotten her permits before opening shop they would not have had a leg to stand on.

Big Hollywood : Storm's Non-Genderism: Failure Imminent

No, these kids won't grow up to okay. Not even close. They will be uneducated, immoral and entitled adults which we will have to support. Either through well fare or the prison system, take your pick. The scary part is they aren't the only ones 'unschooling' their children. I have a friend who is unschooling her four children and they are more than likely future residents of the local prison system. This past weekend when they were out the father withdrew $60 out of a atm machine. Her 4 year old demanded that all the money be given to him and threw a tantrum when it didn't happen. Seriously he is 4 years old and already demanding money.

Big Hollywood : 'Thor' Review: Convoluted and Cold

Dude, you did not write a review on the movie Thor but on the previews you saw of it. NOWHERE in the movie is there anything said that would even imply that humanity is being threatened by Loki, Frost Giants, The Destroyer or the Easter bunny. Of course you might get that impression if you watched the previews. There is a scene in one preview that has Thor saying something like "you can't kill all those innocent people" which may lead people to think he's talking of Earth. He's not. He is referring to the Frost Giants on Jotunheim. That and the fact that you call them 'frozen giants' instead of Frost Giants which they are called in the movie repeatedly. So yeah, you didn't even SEE the movie.

The state fair grounds in Monroe have gun shows fairly regularly. While I have never been to a show my husband has and from what he has told me they don't have firing ranges there. In fact he's pretty much stunned by this entire story. There were soooo many stupid people involved in this it's not even funny. In the end it is a parents JOB to ensure that your child does not come to any harm and grows up to become a productive member of society. In that regard this father failed.
