Some years ago yes, SEO was a magic. Now it is very difficult job there is competition too much among the sites, the products and strategies for SEO are changing time to time. Someone who is update with the SEO market for him this is easy job else It is too hard to boost a site in ranking.

Updating content on website or blog regularly.

After reading the above article I have a question regarding search engines, that is how many times it updates its index for a website in a day. Is is varies for different sites i.e if you have a news site it will index quickly and if you have a product site it will index after some time. Is there any specific time period for indexing?
