Those kinds of items are the hardest to handle. It's ok to let them go if they have absolutely no place in your home. It's better to let someone else use and enjoy an item than have it sit in the attic forever. If it's some kind of family heirloom, then it's ok to see if someone else in the family can use it. But if it's too valuable to let go, then is there an out of the way place to display it? A guest bedroom? Unused corner of the house? Your school room? Or you can create a space just for those kinds of items, like a shelf dedicated to those things that have special memories attached. You can make it into a conversation piece rather than allowing it to become a piece of junk. There were a few things like this that I debated over - a few, I let go, and others, I'm hanging onto for at least a while longer.�
