I was thinking about how I was going to work through this because I really felt traumatized and sick to my stomach about the poor man who died and his family he left behind. I think if I do talk about it to my friends and others who care like I do that it will help. It may actually kick me into action as well and get me thinking what else I can do to help others. I used to devote more time to issues I feel are important and lately I just seem so busy- time to put what is important in the forefront! That is the first time I've been to Romax and it is my new favorite shoe store. I love downtown and will not stop going there nor will my husband. I am a true believer in advocating for the homeless and less fortunate and just got hit in the heart yesterday as no one deserves to die that way alone on the street. He yelled at me to get in the car, the gunman ran up the street and people were running. The poor man was laying half on the sidewalk and half on the street on his side bleeding from his head. Police were there is seconds but no one went near the man. He was bleeding a lot and I thought he was dead until I went on twitter and saw they were taking him to Harborview. Turns out I guess he was dead, how awful for his family,all I can think is he is somebodies son and what a horrible thing. What an awful day for everyone. I have never seen anything like this before and just find it hard to think about why people end up doing this stuff. We really need help in this country.
