Although this post may not be the most appropriate forum for your question, I understand that sometimes what happens in your own private life can be more devastating than looking at the chaos that surrounds a love affair. Honestly, just get back with him if you love him and don't torture yourself. On the contrary, try to let him be as free as possible with his ex-girlfriend, to communicate and exchange as much as they want. Try to not be jealous, because jealousy is the way that you can really ruin a relationship. Plus, if he wants to be with her, there is nothing you can do about it! If he wanted to really be with her romantically, he would do it secretly! Your man seems cool, he keeps good ties with people that have been important to him. This is what I call the communauté des amants. Just let these relationships happen, and grow. It's easier said than done, I know.
