Three months for me. So I’ll try and coordinate a visit while you’re at Cedar Key. Oshkosh or Michigan (around Traverse City) haven’t decide which.

Hey Terri - Yup, that’s me. Traded the van for the ultralight trike - back to flying after a 50 year break. Might rebrand this blog to, Taking The Low & Slow Way - if I find some stories to tell and photos to share.

Tires, nope - but the peddle assist electric motor sure helps

Sure did, might have a picture or two. Still trying to find the time/energy and bandwidth to do an Oshkosh video. Maybe soon.

Are you guys still heading to the UP?

Can't really say Gofar - have never been in a gyrocopter, but certainly easier than a helicopter. BUT, on these weight shift aircraft all the control inputs are the reverse of every other aircraft out there - so it's not all that simply for a pilot with my type of experience to make the transition. The instructor, that I flew with, said maybe 15 hours (or so) for me to solo.

Janie - boredom doesn't seem to be an issue. Even "listening" to the quiet and looking at the night sky, can be thrilling - it all depends on your state of mind.
