If you know how many "underage drinking parties" go on every weekend
and have the "inside information" on their location, perhaps you could
contact the police yourself and be a hero? I would think any person
drinking and driving, regardless of age, would be a danger to others on the street and should be stopped. Evidently, you are a willing participant in these parties and fear being arrested.

Isn't it amazing how life improves and children are so thoroughly cared for
we one takes drugs on a daily basis? What a waste of life!

the sewer.

I am a Pro-Life supporter who believes it is a sad commentary on the movement when other supporters trample the rights and a memorable day
for the graduates at Notre Dame. I have carried signs and walked in protest in
many events for the pro-life movement and was honored to do so! But those events were publicly sanctioned and encouraged and were not interfering with
an occasion honoring a great accomplishment by the graduating students at
Notre Dame. These 3 may feel as if they had done a great service to the
Pro-Life movement but in reality, their crass action has dishonored the Notre Dame community, the Catholic church, the Pro-Life Movement, and the many
graduating seniors assembled for commencement.

I hope they are proud of themselves. It is their brand of protest that brings ridicule for any opposed to our cause. What a lack of respect shown to the leader of our government and country at a venue intended to honor graduates.

If the unions were similar to European unions, I could be more supportive of them. I have seen time and again over the years working in union and non-
union positions how things really work. I had to deal with "structured union
contracts" which had " man assignments " written in. Instead of creating a more productive environment, the M/A fostered a lot of complaints about work
that was not in the M/A. If it were non-union, the job would have been completed without a problem. Incidentally, when I worked at this facility in
Indiana, there were over 10,000 employees working there and it was a UAW
facility. Now it is closed completely, due to both poor management, old facilities, and union contractual demands that drove production costs above
competitors.

Hey,"South Bend Sucks". There is no law against driving under the speed limit.
Sounds like you have a serious anger issue. If people are driving cautiously and more slowly than you like, leave for your destination earlier.
As for the BOYS in the accident, they all should be very thankful they are alive.
It really doesn't matter if it was an accident. Passing on a curve is breaking the
law , and as such, should have consequences beyond the loss of a vehicle and
public embarrassment. Yes, we all make mistakes and have accidents. We also face consequences for them.

Mr.Johnson is a hero! What a waste the boyfriend is! A tough guy who uses a knife to attack a woman holding a 9 month old baby. Whatever the problem between the man and woman, there is no excuse for physical aggression toward a woman by a man. May he go away for a LONG time.

Where were the parent or parents? A 5 year old should not be running around unsupervised. Don't blame the driver. She was aware of the children and operating her vehicle in proper fashion. I had 2 children and my wife and I always knew what they were doing and where they were. As was stated by "smilin", a five year old wouldn't think ahead. Parents need to do thinking for little ones like this and that includes knowing where he or she is at all times.

Amazing that we spend the time to investigate a problem that has existed for years. It cost 2 folks their jobs. My closest friends and I bought alcohol before we were 21(in Fort Wayne). Of course, these purchases were over 40 years ago. I think the problem was as bad then as it is now. The laws and penalties governing underage drinking(and driving) have become stiffer. I am not condoning underage drinking or any drinking for that matter. The arguments that we can "send them off to die" in the military was used then also. The difference was that there was an active draft then and a lot of the guys involved did not have a choice in military service.

I would say that the greatest change is that back then, the media did not go around investigating underage drinking. They reported real news rather than
seeking to create news, stir controversy , and create discord locally.
