Can Andrew McCarthy please just shut up and stop breaking up the flow of the debate. Zuhdi Jasser got so much more time than Robert to speak I feelt like I was sitting through an interview not a debate. Robert Spencer had lot more he wanted to say but was never given the chance to really rebuttal. Terrible debate. Next time put a time limit on how long each can talk.

Big difference. They might of had a fear of being waterboarded again therefore they spilled the beans or they might not of had a fear of being waterboarded again and just said the name in passing and then when questioned about the name later totally denied it which lead to a suspicion they were on to something. We'll never really know unless we ask the detainees.

Unlike the liberals I'm not saying Bush did anything illegal by going into Iraq - I wouldn't say that especially considering how the laws stand today, or that he tricked us into war with Iraq,. I just don't agree with the alturistic moral values that got us into that endeavor in the first place. Thus, why I reject that war.

Let's not throw the baby out with the bath water here when it comes to Ron Paul. I do respect Ron Paul for his economic and domestic social postions but the man is past clueless when it comes to the war on jihad infact he is consciously apologetic. However, he does cherry pick the 9/11 commission as if their findings concluded 9/11 was all about blowback. NOT TRUE. That was not their final conclusion. I don't support Iraq anymore because I don't see what our self-interest was there - liberating/protecting Iraqis on humanitarian grounds is not about self-interest it's about alturism which only leads to perpetual wars- but I do support the Afghanistan war. That I fully understand. It's about a violation of the nonagression prinicple and therefore in our self-interest and I proudly support it. That said, screw nation building. We should of declared all out war on Afghanistan like we did on Italy, Japan, and Germany and not let up until they totally surrendered.

"Capitalism promotes the creation of wealth, which benefits society." This is not how Ayn rand saw captialism. Captialism benefiting society or advancing the common good is not it's essential goal, that is a socialist premise you've accepted, the benefits captialism provides for all individuals is merely a consequence. Always remember Captialism is not here for society or the common goods sake but for the individuals sake. You should read ayn rand's marginalia inwhich she points this out.
