I'm genuinely curious about something, Does the Bible allow her to remarry if she has been abandoned by her husband? I know that my church teaches that marrying after divorce is the same as adultery, but does this apply to all instances of divorce or only those instances that are unjustified?

This does sound like a remarkably painful situation. I know that I myself would worry about the testosterone supplements. Hormones for women are not without risk (some very big risks). Don't men hormones have risks, too? I wonder if there might not be a halfway point where both you and your husband could each have your own needs for intimacy met without the need for potentially dangerous drugs. Exercise, I believe, boosts testosterone levels, and it just might get his hormones and blood pumping in a good way. *smiles*

I agree, Joy. When I was growing up, my parents even refused to shop at groceries that sold liquor because they disagreed with the principle. Women working outside the home may not be sinning (and certainly not if it is necessary), but we should also not be profiting off something that is destroying so many families.

My husband is a huge fan of him, and he's very popular among my friends. My husband and I obviously believe that sex is a bonding experience, but we believe that it further cements the submission model in our marriage. I submit, and he leads. It is the way that we believe it is supposed to be. I respect your viewpoint, however, but I also respect my husband's, and he is the one I ultimately follow.

Maybe most women can't "o" from "ic" because women are not really designed to "o" at all? "The sexual act CANNOT be made into an egalitarian pleasuring party," to quote a famous preacher, "A man penetrates, conquers, colonizes ... " This is not about the wife and what she likes or doesn't like. Sexual intimacy is about meeting the husband's needs and bringing new life into the world.

I believe that vaccinations can be beneficial, too, but I refused some of them because they were created using aborted fetal cells, and that goes against my personal religious beliefs.

Are you a little one?

This verse is referencing children -- but I've also heard it translated to mean baby Christians. Either way, a mature Christian man who is leading his family is way out of line blaming his wife for his sin. Can you imagine a general blaming a major for a mistake that he (the general) made? It wouldn't happen.

This is really one of our first sins. God asked who did it. Adam complained that the woman made him do it, and Eve complained that it was the serpent. Even in those days, humans couldn't accept responsibility for their own behaviors and tried to pass the buck, but that didn't make it right! Adam chose to eat the fruit. Eve chose to eat the fruit. A woman chooses whether or not to submit to her husband and lovingly fulfill his needs. And a man chooses whether or not to virtually or literally commit adultery.

Oh, cooking is one of my favorite things to do. My husband doesn' tcook,, but he enjoys BBQing on the weekends. I learned at my mom's apron strings, so to speak, and I've always thought that was the easiest way to do it. I have a nice corn chowder simmering on the stove as I type. I'm trying to decide whether I want to get some home made rolls going on such a hot day or whether to go get some prepared ones from the market, which would be much cooler but maybe not quite so tasty.

Maybe some favorite healthy recipes or easy cooking hints and tips would be a great idea for a post!

I cannot speak for Lori, of course, but I do think that if someone is finding the news to be unsettling, upsetting or otherwise interfering in her joy that not watching it would be a better choice than watching it.

I don't watch the news, but I do enjoy reading a newspaper. That lets me take in the news at a pace that is more emotionally comfortable for me.
