I love that my kids will eat food in the garden that they would normally wouldn't even touch. I'm the same way with tomatoes...only like them fresh from the garden.

I think one of the reasons why we bought our Explorer was because it was built on a truck frame. Assuming it would be a bit safer than a car. I really like Explorers but not sure if I'm sold on the new design for our family needs. However, it's not likely we'll be buying it or any new car for quite sometime!

We buy veggie/fruit wash. My favorite is Biokleen's produce wash. Environne makes a good spray too.

We stayed this week at Champoeg State Park. It was $35 per night for a rustic cabin. It's going up to $39. It's the yurts that are making a huge jump from $27 to $36. The cabin wasn't too bad (ants and spiderwebs). It was the bathrooms that were really nasty. But I think that's because it's the off season and only a few volunteers that are caring for the park. BUT our kids had a blast. And that's what it is all about.

Is the school district trying to recoup the cost from kids skipping? Don't they get funding for each day the child attends?

Watch King Corn. I haven't seen the film you mentioned yet. King Corn includes that cows don't do well on grain only diets. Cows don't digest corn well. Thanks for mentioning the film. I'm going to look it up.
