Big Journalism : 'Les légumes du mal': Michelle Obama's Toxic Garden

I KNEW I remembered seeing those colours somewhere before, thank you! "Good Eats" is one of the few television shows I watch, I've used Alton Brown's recipe for Thanksgiving turkey for nearly 10 years now, and hear "Perfect turkey, Mom" every year. Haven't watched "Iron Chef" since about 2003. Meh.

Big Journalism : Homeschoolers: Trailer-Park Denizens or Modern Heroes?

I had to write a post about this, having been raised miles and miles from even flyover country -- It is NOT humiliating to be able to take care of one’s own life and child’s life, to prepare a meal to feed the people you love, to tuck them in at night knowing you’ll be back at it again in the morning because it is REAL life, not life lived in theory and postcards.
