http://practicalmanifestations.blogspot.com/ : Riding The Tide Instead of Fighting It

Thanks for the comment Christine, always appreciated. We see people famous for helping others and we tend to think they became famous overnight. To the contrary, people like Mother Teresa and such worked for years at helping others and eventually there was some sort of turning point where she was able to make a bigger impression with the help of others.

http://practicalmanifestations.blogspot.com/ : Interacting with Angels

Thanks for the comment Jimmy, you know I always appreciate you stopping by. You bring up a good point that we try to accumulate as much as possible as quickly as possible. It reminds me of the show "Hoarders". As much as I dislike that show because it glorifies being a victim of life and not seeking help to resolve your problems, it sheds light on the fact that we endlessly seek more stuff to crowd into our houses. In the US we are full of clutter and junk to the point that we need someone to come in and clean it all out. Angels are pertinent in our lives and give us great insight. Maybe they don't help us accumulate more crap...but maybe more crap is not what we need. They help us to connect with our true selves and realize our purpose in life...which is far more important than accumulating stuff.

http://practicalmanifestations.blogspot.com/ : Why Do The Poor Sometimes Take Advantage Of The System?

Hi Kirk, you make an excellent point and it is one that cannot be stressed enough. How can we expect people to break out of poverty when we threaten to not help them in ways that enable them to become self-sufficient? Unfortunately some of the problem is rooted in racism. Some claim that poor people are of a certain race or a group of races and that those people are inherently lazy. It is a cop out and a way of avoiding fixing the system. People react to incentives...ALL people react to incentives. Instead of spending government on free cell phones for the poor (a real program b.t.w.), spend it on educating poor people that lost their job--they need education in a field that's growing, not a cell phone. Your actions are commendable and we should all learn from them. I'm sure with help your daughter was able to get back on her feet again. I'm also sure that if you threatened to stop helping her if she took any initiative it would have made it more difficult for her to do so. I always appreciate hearing from you and I love your blog, Bill

Thanks Sandi, much appreciated. I suppose one thing we can take from this post is that it is easy to say other people need to change and be frustrated when they don't. Like you say, it takes action from all of us...no one has the job of waiting for everyone else to do something--we're all in it together. Thanks again and I look forward to reading your next blog post, Bill

http://practicalmanifestations.blogspot.com/ : Spiritual Energy Transfer

Hi Peggy, thank you for your input. It is interesting to think of the manners in which the energy of each individual could interact with one another. Perhaps in helping others we are actually sharing in their energy and even in the positive energy throughout the universe. And science is definitely beginning to prove the world around us is far more fantastic in nature than our recent predecessors could have ever imagined!

Hi Anne, well said. I believe in Indian spiritualism they believe that there is no such thing as accidents, everything happens for a reason. Perhaps the point of unlikely circumstances occurring in your life is that they are all part of a growth process--one of growing spirituality and deepening faith. It's interesting that you mention "chi" when I was talking about a transfer of energy because the Chinese and other cultures do view energy as being part of everyone and everything, so that is a good example of a belief system that incorporates this idea. Thanks for the comment, Bill

Hi Mi, I definitely understand your fear of encountering evil spirits. I think the important thing to know is that most people are good and typically try to do the right thing most of the time. Such people are full of a great light. They may not be able to see it or feel it, but it is there. When you feel the presence of an angel your white light will be your guide to help you distinguish good from evil. Your white light will also be your shield against all evil. On top of your own white light, you also have angels that watch over you and provide protection. You will be safe when there is love in your heart. Thank you for the comment Mi and I look forward to hearing from you again soon, Bill

Thanks for stopping by Joel, your comments and compliments are much appreciated :) It makes sense that Angels could be a great source of strength to people. It seems that when we are in our most desperate of moments even a non-believer tends to be open to the possibility of a greater power offering assistance. We simply better answers in those times than the rational mind can provide. And when times are good some people continue on their spiritual path while others struggle to remember the conviction they felt when they were down. Thanks again Joel, Bill

Hi Joel, great to hear from you. It's great that you have received so much in the form of energy charges and were able to recognize it contemporaneously. I think in Christianity we accept the possibility of God and Jesus giving us strength because we sometimes pray for exactly that. I would certainly think that some people must actually feel like they were given strength after such prayers, like you are saying, in order for the tradition to continue. In Christianity we also believe in people coming together to worship and feeling support and comfort when congregating. Perhaps people are sharing energy with each other when they meet to worship just as they are sharing in God's power. Thanks for the comment! Bill

Thank you Keblon. I was raised Catholic as well. In Catholicism they usually teach people that our interaction with angels is pretty much limited to praying. For some reason there is usually more emphasis given to avoiding the devil and "his" temptations as opposed to being open to feeling the presence of (good) angels. I look forward to hearing more from you in the future, Bill

Hi Dorien, that book sounds interesting. My favorite type of fiction is the stuff that is just beyond the limit of reason--just enough to make you question if it could be true but not enough for you to scream BOGUS! This is the material that opens up the mind. Thank you for commenting and talk soon, Bill

Thanks for the comment Sandi. I think that we start life with open minds: able to think in abstract terms and seeing the energy in things rather than inanimate objects. After 12+ years of schooling and rigorous training in linear thinking we slowly forget how to "see" the world beyond the tangible. Thanks again! Bill

http://practicalmanifestations.blogspot.com/ : Mass Suicide Threats Affect Corporations' Bottom Line

What we have definitely does not work, and I think the majority of the population would agree with that statement. The problem is that if the government were to force companies to make products here in the US it could easily become quite corrupt. Certain companies would pay politicians to leave their businesses alone. While in power, those politicians would force other companies to manage their businesses in a certain manner, namely produce products here in the US. Once that politician's term ended, a different politician would favor different companies. Furthermore we see just how inefficient the government is at managing businesses--just the myriad of regulations cost companies billions each year. Some regulations are needed, some are questionable, and the remainder are probably unnecessary. Big companies move according to profits. The people need to persuade the system with their buying power and with their voting power. We can expect the people in poor countries to become stronger in demanding better working conditions. Unfortunately if they demand too much companies will move to another poor country that poses fewer demands. Meanwhile with half the population supporting the other half the people that are hit the hardest are the middle class and people making just enough to not qualify for assistance. The rich can afford it and the very poor are being helped, it's the ones in between that are being drawn into the very poor quality because of inaction.

I received this comment via email and the author asked that I share it: I started working in 1969. Unemployment was so low I do not remember anyone that wanted a job not to have one. Majority of the people at the low wage earners were working 40 hrs a week , that was the work week, this was their life... They could afford to rent an apartment, buy food, clothing, heat, electric, telephone. They went to average priced restaurants 2 times per week, movies 1 time a week, had spending money, put some money into savings, took a real vacation ,away from their home, had enough money to take care of themselves, have two to three kids, give their kids what they needed, keep up with their property. We did not have credit cards , so we always paid cash. Benefits: Blue Cross 100% paid, 8 holidays, 2 weeks vacation after 1 year, overtime if you wanted it, not many people need it, pleasant working conditions. This was at the bottom end of the work force. We did not have homeless people !!! I do not remember welfare !!! We did not have many unions, because the companies took care of their workers !! People knew their bosses and owners of the companies personally. The USA was a great powerful nation. It was the best place to live in the world. What happened? Companies began to get larger, more companies joined the stock market....profits were the most important thing...they had board members, that you never saw...workers became only names on a paper.... raises started to decrease, workers had to start paying for Blue Cross... Now not every one had Blue Cross coverage... because not all costs were covered.. doctors cost more, hospitals cost more , holidays were starting to be eliminated. cost of living kept going up as it always had...but the pay raises did not keep up. When you have a country that can not keep up with every day expenses, people start to have their standard of living decrease. Crime increases... People start to not be able to afford the necessities of life.. other people now have to pay more for those who can't. In 1969 you did not need 2 people to work to pay your bills Dad worked and Mom stayed home to care for the kids.. Now even 2 people working is difficult to keep up with expenses. Companies have not realized that when most people are not buying anything, even the necessities, it starts to have a country that has more poor people , than it can handle ...!! Then one family looses their income.....Dad, Mom, two young kids.....They need about 60,000 per year....they do not pay rent, or a mortgage...they don't pay property taxes....Blue Cross...heat,electric, insurance on their property, personal insurance, clothing, food,.... The public now has to pay for shelter for 4 people...heat, electric, food, clothing, clinics, transportation, ..... So how much is this costing the public......1,000 house, 100 taxes 50 house insurance, 200 Blue Cross, 150 heat,100 elect, 50 phone, 400 two cars, 100 gas, 100 car insurance, 100 car upkeep, 200 house upkeep, 300 personal insurance, 600 clothing, 1,000 food, 400 recreation 150 doctors 100 church and charities, just think how many jobs are affected when ONE family looses their income !!!!!!!!!!!! This is the real price we are now paying for our jobs that are being done over seas. When we do not realize what is being done to our great nation. !!!We need to have jobs ,because half the population cannot afford to compensate the other half that is out of work.

http://practicalmanifestations.blogspot.com/ : The Frequency of Success

Thanks for the comment Jimmy. Many "techniques" focus on thinking about what you want and pretending you already possess it, but leave out the hard stuff. All the vision boards in the world are great but you need a way of getting from A to B besides thoughts and feelings because there is more to you than thoughts and feelings. What else is there? Lots of stuff. And all that stuff needs to change from lifestyle A to lifestyle B. This said, it's not as difficult as it sounds. Your true self will guide the way, you just need to tune out the daily drama to be able to focus. One develops a daily routine of meditation, gratitude, forgiveness, and balance. It is at that point that you begin to attract what you want simply because what you want has become in sync with your true self and your true self is one with our creator.

Thank you for the comment Dorien. I think the important thing to note here is that many of us are sort of waiting for US companies to grow a moral conscience and start treating people properly, even if technically it is legal to treat people improperly. My point is that companies are not likely to do it on their own because they were designed to put money above everything. This, among the other reasons, is why we have not seen significant progress on the issue of poor labor conditions in so many years. What can we do? The world is at our fingertips. Consumers and politicians determine the level of moral consciousness companies have. We can influence consumers to buy American by adding a Buy American link to our blogs and web sites (I have a great one in my upper left column), and we can influence politicians by telling them if they want to create jobs they need to help small businesses--not large ones. Large companies are outsourcing everything. I'm going to add this link to my blog for House Majority Leader Eric Cantor's page. He has a proposal to help small businesses and we can tell him he is on the right track. The possibilities are endless. We are never against a brick wall. Spread the word! http://majorityleader.gov/

Thanks for the comment Jimmy. There are many facets to the problem and typically we look to our corporations to do the right thing, but for the most part they aren't taking any action. The problem there is that the companies that rise to the top are the ones that make the most money and can expand. Those companies strictly follow the law and nothing more (and sometimes cheat even on what the laws allow). These guys rose to the top and it would take a sort of grand awakening for them to change their ways. If they were always trying to do the right thing, whether or not the law required it, they probably wouldn't be in the position they're in. So while we typically look to the companies to take action, this is probably one of the less likely scenarios of the lot. Thanks again, Bill
