Require reregistration for STAR. Isn't it funny that they have not sent out any formal notifications to those who have already applied for it, particularly those who are under the age of 65. They only have to file once, and if they miss this news story, they will have a really nice surprise come September. Edited to update: Called assessor's office this afternoon and was told that STAR applications for this year is already active and will be applied. This action is for the 2014 tax year, and I was told that NYS would be advising people by mail about their recertification process. Gay couples do not create new children. Thus, in a matter of speaking, one might see it as global birth control. For those objecting to this State's action by reason of religious grounds, keep this in mind. The contract for marriage that we file with our Town or County registrar is not a contract with God, it is a contract of the State. A marriage under God can only be consumated through the birth of a child, as that is the only union which no man can tear asunder, as you cannot separate the genetic coding of a child back into its parental component parts. So, for those who object to this State sanctioned ruling, maybe this principle can give them some peace, and allow them to accept it a little easier. JMHO! (BTW, that is the only movie Henry ever played in where he was the villain) When Charles Bronson left motion pictures because of age, that was one of the biggest loses in the entertainment industry.
