fortunately all of the injured parties will recover. Lets all be thankful for the quick and professional response of the Spencet twp. fire rescue unit, the Kent county sheriff dept. and all the good people around Bass lake who came to the aid of the people in the bayliner. This could have been much worse, but the emotional pain will be there for a long time to come. This should be a lessson for all who use the lakes a little common sense will go a long way.

just so we are all accurate here, the driver of the 2nd boat was NOT drunk, but he was at fault, his boat was overloaded and he could not see where he was going. thats what he told the sheriff. stopping to pick up a tuber who has fallen from a tube is the proper thing to do. she was wearing a goast guard approved life jacket. all this discussion would not be necessary if that driver could see where he was going. remember there were only 3 boats on the lake at the time of the accident. not crowded for a 200 acre lake. If you don't know what you are talking about you should keep your mouth shut.
