6. Term limits for Congressmen; no automatic pay increases; no lifetime pensions; no jets;
7. Any Congressman found guilty of commiting a crime in office should receive a sentence two times that of an ordinary citizen;
8. Zero tolerance for illegal aliens; detain and deport immediately; no federal help to anyone in the country illegally;
9. All workers have a right to a secret ballot in union elections; workers should have right to de-unionize as well by secret ballot;
10. This party should not take any position on polarizing issues such as abortion and gay marriage;
11. Amend the Constitution to prohibit the federal government from owning or managing the means of production or supply;
12. NO MORE EARMARKS.

The Tea Party movement should form the basis for a new political party with the following "planks":
1. Repeal 19th Amendment and replace with federal sales tax (see my prior post);
2. Establish energy independence with "all-of-the-above" option including the construction of new nuclear power plants;
3. The primary function of the federal government is to keep the country safe from foreign attack;
4. Make English the official language;
5. Zero tolerance for violent criminals; wage war of domestic drug dealers; build additional prisons to house them;

Repeal the 16th Amendment and replace federal income tax on individuals and businesses with a federal sales tax on ALL retail transactions --- a small percentage tax on a very large base. That way, everyone would pay something to fund the federal government and the tax code would no longer influence people's or corporation's actions. This federal sales tax would also replace the cap gains and inheritence taxes. You make it --- you get to keep it --- if you spend it, the federal government takes a share.
