Our state collects more taxes then most states in the Union, including sales and property taxes. But the correctional center could not afford one more employee to provide double duty for protection? I'm outraged!!! I just saw a state employee from the DOT driving like an idiot down Hwy. 167, at high speed, in a van, using a cell phone. Well maybe the state can yank his job, van and cell phone to have enough money to hire additional help. I know this is soooo rude saying this at a time when a young, youthful, successful person lost her life. However, our state needs to wake up and put funding where it's really needed.
