Big Hollywood : 'Terra Nova' Review: Go Back In Time to the Dawn of Lame Clichés

Its not even the hack-work movies on SciFi ( I refuse to use that stupid new spelling, lol) Mainstream movies all have to have the emotional issues or love story no matter how stupid it is to the movie storyline . ( Pearl Harbor movie love triangle anyone? ) Chick flicks fine, have emotional issues but in the shoot'um up's, I do not want to have to listen to the barely dressed, top heavy blonde woman talk about her "daddy issues" .

I can see your point but Obama is on the money, it is still a police state and there was one mention of certain classes of people living in domes (i.e. the rich and famous) . So no matter what happened to cause the break down and i am sure at some point will come the republican sucker punch, they have not went back to a democracy which is what the democrats are all about , right? And if the republicans were in charge i doubt they would have Obama on money. Maybe Reagan but not Obama. lol

People are complaining about Obama's picture being on the money, Personally to me it is an underhanded insult. Lets review what i gathered about earth at the time the show started. Environment is shot, mass starvation is hinted at, Air is unbreathable without masks, enconomy is gone, police state, population control. Would you want this government honoring you?? Its kind of like going back to Germany in January 1945 and putting out a new money denomination with a picture of hitler on. " Look at this great leader of our nation"

If Disney does not want to make money off the show that is their right, especially since you can still find the show on the internet for free. So you can watch it for free and disney goes further in debt. Its a win, win.

Big Hollywood : 'Battle: Los Angeles': Don't Listen to Biased Critics, Action-Adventure Awaits

Well after reading the reviews of this movie i looked up some of the other more recent movies that depicted american soldiers. I think that if you combined all of the money these made you might equal what B:LA has made in just a couple of days. But which do you think it going to be the theme of more movies in the years to come. American soldiers good or American soldiers evil. American Dreamz - 2006 - Iraq War vet blows himself up in national tv because his girlfriend cheated on him. Battle for Haditha - 2007 - Marines killing Iraqi civilains, supposed to be based on a true event. All charges dropped due to lack of evidence except against 1 marine. Green Zone - 2010 - Iraq war based on information US knew was false and willing to kill to cover up. Harsh Times - 2006 - Iraq war vet turns drug dealer and thief due to PTSD. The Hurt Locker - 2008 - Shows EOD vet as war junkie, only happy in combat In the Valley of Elah - 2007 - Iraqi war vets with PTSD kill a fellow solider Army tries to cover it up. The Mark of Cain - 2007 - British iraq war veterans beat, sexually assualt iraqi prisoners Redacted - 2007 - Based on true event, but director Brian De Palma calls the movie a "a realistic portrait of U.S. troops" Stir of Echoes: The Homecoming - 2007 - National Guard troops kill an innocent Iraqi family at a checkpoint. Later main charceters son beats and burns alive and arab in america Stop-Loss - 2008 - Another crazed solider with PTSD Valley of the Wolves: Iraq - 2006 - Turkish Special Forces kill evil american soldiers.

Big Hollywood : ‘Battle: LA’ Review: The Iraq War Movie Hollywood Should Have Made

Is there such a thing as"gratuitous female nudity" ? I highly doubt it exists. It may just seem "gratuitous" but it is needed to further the movies storyline development in an intellectually stimulating way. And Dina Myer is very intellectually stimulating

now we all now that D/L movies for free is illegal and immoral. (wink, wink). Instead we should be happy to pay to see movies that portray normal americans as muderous thugs. How else is Hollywood going to keep paying for all those plane flights around the world so they can complain about how evil America is. It should be movie house policy that you buy 3 tickets for everyone you need just so movie stars have more money to get off scot free for crimes that would send us to jail for years.

Big Hollywood : 'Battle for Los Angeles' Review: Exciting Pro-Military Actioner that Over-Uses the Shaky Cam

"Another thing that I found quite gratifying (and I may get arguments on this, although I don’t know why) is the portrayal of the U.S. military in particular and America in general. It harkens back to old war movies – you know, the ones where the soldiers were actually portrayed as heroes instead of villains or mentally damaged people." That was the actual complaint in one review i read, He complained that the marines came across as too "John Waynie" They where good, solid normal soldier's like those protrayed in those old WW2 war movies instead of the new muderous, suicidal, raping soldiers they love to have in todays movies

Yes it was Sarah Palins fault, That caribu she shot last year was the reason. Its the butterfly effect. And all those bombs going off in Iraq and Afganistan shook the whole planet causing the fault line to slip, so if we had not invaded and freed the iraqi people and SP had not shot that caribu then Japan would still be fine. lol Oh and i wish i could find it now but i did read an article that blamed the fall of the roman empire on global warming. I guess they had too many SUC's ( suburban utility chariot).

Thanks , i had plans to download this movie, #@ i mean go see this movie when it came out, now i will not. I am waiting very impatiently for B:LA, it has been getting sucky reviews from all the big wig movie critics so that means it is a must see in my book. If Roger Ebert gives it a thumbs down, i give them my money to watch, so far he is batting a hundred. I read a review of B:LA earlier and the reviewer was complaining that the main marine comes across as to John Wayneish. lol, made me want to see it even more.

I knew firefly was not going to make it after the first 2 shows. People who fight an oppressive gov't that wants to run their lives from cradle to grave. We cannot have that on tv. might make people think. We do not need the great unwashed thinking for themselves

I never understood that whole plot line. Why was it so important to settle on a planet that could barely sustain life. And where did all the supplies ( tents, winter clothes ) come from?? Nothing like taking time out from your entire race being killed by the billions to pack winter clothes.

yeah i loved the ending, with them all wondering around with no tools or extra stuff talking about building houses and farming. I especially loved how they went on a suicide mission to save the child Hera, then just let her go off with her mom and dad on a planet they no nothing about wearing a dress. lol I gave them 2 years before they were all dead.

Are they worse?? Everybody has different ideas on that. I can only go with my DVD case. The top 2 rows are what i call my go to movies, The ones i can watch over and over again. The rest of the collection, well it gets picked over when i am bored. But nothing in the last 4 years other than Batman dark knight has made it to the coveted top shelf. With the economy the way it is i can no longer buy movies i have not seen just so i can watch them. I look a lot more online for reviews ( normal people reviews not movie critic) So that cut out a lot of the movies i did buy but still a lot of the movies that have come out the past few years have just been missing that specially something in them. No mater how many times i watch LOTR i still get sucked into the story. The sheer awesomeness of the first 20 minutes and last 30 minutes of Saving Private Ryan. Those first scenes of Saving PR tell me more about the horror, brutality, self sacrifice, brotherhood of war than any of the last 10 iraq war movies combined. Movies are supposed to tell me a story, and get me caught up in that story but now days to many movies want to use that time to preach to me. Cut out the preaching and go back to storytelling and i will go back to buying movies.
