I don't doubt that kids are legit anxious but instead of learning that everyone is fucking anxious and it's normal and coping skills and working shit out, they are legit coached to succumb. And they are ALL on pharmaceuticals. All. So are their parents, I am guessing. They asked me to use the intercom phone at work today Well you tell them that your anxiety prevents you from doing this and you need to go lie down This is why my teacher and professor friends get calls from legally grown student's parents.

Cardinals are nesting in the big bushy tree below my bedroom window again and I am very excited. Well, pandemic-excited which is more of a not jumping out the window feeling but it's nice. They are so close and chirpy at dawn, it feels like they might be in the room. I can't stand the constant wail of mourning doves, the Debbie Downers of the bird world. In other bird news, I was walking Bean the other day and there was a pretty big hawk/osprey kinda bird on someone's lawn doing something and as Bean got closer he flew up to the roof. I took a picture to zoom in and he was eating another bird. as feathers floated down. What a fucking savage.

I got up v early and did my groceries. There was a line up at the cash and a manager type woman came over to the kid ringing me up and said "Can you call for back-up?" And he said "i'm. not comfortable using the phone" and she said "Pardon?" and he said "I cannot use the phone, it gives me anxiety" The kids are absolutely not alright, sweet baby jeebus.
