That is because they need to have at least a bit of assurance that an applicant isn't a complete tool. Do you think this a bad practice for someone who will be given the ability to suspend a person's liberty?

This is the inevitable evolution of the whoe social networking idea. I'm not a curmudgeon, but I don't have a facebook account. and this is a perfect example of why I don't.

I am connected to everyone I choose to be connected with, and I do it the old fashioned way: I write letters, call on the phone, meet for coffee, text when I must, but I refuse to patronize a service built on intellectual theft and greed.

I don't think that employers need another avenue into our private lives.

Man I am with you...if I don't see another example of "Tebow-ing" I'll be happy. Guy seems likeable enough. but the over-the-top christianity display can be a bit much.

It's comedy, people! I find it laughable and ridiculous that Gingrich feels he's in any position to demand anything, period. Regardless of one's political affiliation, that man is just a narcissistic you-know-what.

The fact that he, Romney and Santorum are even in the national dialogue is an affront to reasonable people. Really, if this is the best the GOP has to offer, we are doomed.

Back in the mid 70's to early 80's I remember Datsun making some cars that were realy fun to drive. High revving gas sipping go-carts...bring 'em back !

My educated guess is that he snuck the knife in, stabbed the judge, the deputy engaged him and was stabbed, then disarmed her and shot her as he escaped. I'm thinking that if he had a gun to begin with, the judge would've been shot as well...

Why do we, as a society, give attention to drug addled blowhard zealots like Limbaugh? His 15 minutes were up years ago, why is he even considered relevant? If you want coherant, relevant, funny commentary, tune into "The Daily Show" or "The Colbert Report". You'll get timely, witty banter about current events that are non-partisan, pointed, and accurate.
