Greetings, Aamna - Yes, you do need either a blog or a website where you can post your latest episode of your serial fiction. Then, you can add a link to our collector with a link to your latest episode. For more information, check out the guidelines: http://tuesdayserial.com/?page_id=7

Thanks for the comment, Tim. I didn't realize they had them on Netflix - that's very cool. NPR is also having a "Ted Radio Hour" once a week. Our local station features it on Saturday afternoon.

Thanks for the comment, John! I was raised near a woods also and spent much of my childhood traipsing up and down trails, fishing with a bamboo pole, etc. So although much of my adulthood has been spent walking on pavement instead of dirt, i am happy to get myself back to nature and provide that opportunity to my kids :-)

Thanks for your comment, Dustin. Glad you enjoyed the post. Yes, it's a lot of information to absorb in a short period of time. I'm so glad the videos are online now so I can re-watch selected portions.

Thanks so much for the comment, Tim - yes, some of the flaws that we're seeing are due to the tools and some are due to my use of the tools. I could either group the items together better or make separate readlists for each category. I opted for one list with using the categories more or less like "tags", thinking that it might help to not be constrained by the two categories i had used in the previous week: "reading" and "writing" because there are plenty of things that wouldn't fit neatly into those two categories. Yes, I'm planning a round-up post after the experimentation is done. And thanks for your suggestion, via twitter, to consider a trial with evernote. I'm looking into it.

My pleasure, Robin - thanks for the comment. They are getting creative and I'm hoping that with their close relationship with self publishers they will open up the format more widely.

Adam - yes, that's definitely one of the key advantages of kindle serials. It was possible before if you packaged it yourself and offered it as a download in mobi format on your site, but it was not pretty. Of course this still isn't open to everybody, but we can hope :-)

Thanks for commenting, Eyrea - yes, Amazon definitely did not invent the serial by any means. They've been going strong for many years. Hopefully their new format will be a great boon for serial writers!
