We need another Chuck Lichenstein at the U.N. The original had the right idea (from his NY Times obit):

A furious Mr. Lichenstein replied that if member states felt ''they are not being treated with the hostly consideration that is their due,'' they should consider ''removing themselves and this organization from the soil of the United States.''

''We will put no impediment in your way,'' he continued, ''The members of the U.S. mission to the United Nations will be down at the dockside waving you a fond farewell as you sail off into the sunset.''

Every discussion of Hamas MUST start with the proposition that the United States government through the Secretary of State has designated Hamas as a "foreign terrorist organization" since 1997.

And then, everyone who proposes to negotiate through Hamas needs to explain why we should negotiate with a foreign terrorist organization.

And it's not just Europe. It's not just Fareed Zakaria. It's the Washington Jewish Week, which in one of its typical idiotic editorials yesterday, said "The reality is that Israel's partner for achieving an end to hostilities will have to be Hamas."
