Now that we know the Smart Home is in Austin, Texas, just how does the playing card photo indicate Austin as the location?

Oh Boy!!! The bedroom windows look out over THE STREET AND THE NEXTDOOR NEIGHBOR'S HOUSE instead of out over the mountains.

HGTV Dream Home : The Floor Plan Is Revealed!

The entire house needs to be rotated 100 degrees or so counter clockwise so the master bedroom looks to the great view to the northwest - not over the street and the next house to be built there. And please tell me there will be a different interior designer from the hideous interior decorator of the Sonoma house.

The floor plan for the Sandia Peak house is about the most stupid I've ever seen!

And what a waste of space for the hallway going into the guest bedroom number 1. And guest room number 1 shares a bath with guest room number 2. Okay, but don't make it so you have to walk through or by the closet to get to the bath. Is that pocket doors separating the bath from room number 2? And what can all that entry foyer space be used for? And I would guess whoever is stuck in the "out-building" guest bedroom would have appreciated not being by the driveway. Is there a covered walk from there to the main house? The "architect" herself looks and acts a little too "Sedona-ish" and her design skills certainly do not add anything positive to the effort Jack makes in choosing a site and bringing it all together. Poor Jack!

The Sonoma house had potential, but had too much wasted formal space. The interior decorator of the Sonoma quashed any chance it had of being a great home with drapes everywhere that towered from ceiling to dust bunny floor. She ruined a good house. As for the Sandia Peak house - why would you design the laundry room all the way at the end of the master bathroom hall? It should be by the recycle room. How do you get from the master bedroom to the bath - down the hall? To get to the office you first enter a small room and are faced with three doors which is not a very welcoming design. The theatre room should definitely not be next to the bedrooms. Imagine trying to watch a late night movie but you're irritating everyone in the bedrooms.
