Remember seeing them in Okinawa. The $273K vehicles might be nice; but een if surplus M-151s are not still around and they could probably be built new for less than $10K. In tight budget times would really make more sense, wouldn't it? I really think only real solution is tariffs that make foriegn made goods higher than soemthing produced in US. It will result in higher prices and a lower standard of living for all, but at least we can have some employment in this country. But with the staus quo, and all mentioned above regulation, cap & trade, Health Care, Soaring taxes, etc., wha tcompny i their righ tmind would ever think of opening a new factory or making (read employing Americans) anything in America. And like Emerson, any reasonable company is making plans to close factories here and move elsewhere.
