Breitbart.com : Ghana eliminates US for 2nd straight World Cup

there has to be a score in the knockout portion of the tournament. when qualifying a tie is worth 1 point, winning is worth 3, a loss obviously nothing. the idea being that having an off day doesn't mean your team loses. much like baseball. but then again that would require math or something else i'm sure you never learned on the farm.

blame ghanas players and the refs. fifa made it clear weeks before the world cup began they didn't want the untied states to advance. from the first game the refs tried to keep the team from advancing. if you know a little bit about soccer, you'd be sickened with the way the game went with ghana. blatant referee bias in favor of a team that played dirty. a very bad combination. if you can get two teams who play fair and with honor, the game is far better.

the allies were well aware of what was happening, and we swept it under the rug until the war was ending. countless times we refused to run a bombing run of the camps, even towards the tail end of the war, when we had complete air superiority. like i said, why is it a funny that 300,000 people died and their country was occupied?

never said france was in worse shape, but even russias backwards army, minus the purge of its officer corp, had better equipment, more man power, and the most important thing:reserve soldiers. france was decimated from ww1 in terms of man power. they lacked adequate reserves to replenish their losses. it's like watching someone who just got off crutches get beat up and calling them a coward

communist government, genius. a totalitarian government is more easily able to manage a country, especially in a time of war, than a democracy. and the winter of stalingrad was the reason they were haulted. the winter made them unable to use their heinkel bombers or their stukas. the cold made their tanks sieze up and their guns jam. and worst of all, most of the german soldiers were ill equipped for winter because no one thought barbarossa would take this long. stalingrad was a blip on the radar for the werhmacht, but it was the cold that stopped them. this allowed the russians to rearm and regroup, and start the counter offensive. once that started, the army heading towards moscow had to be split into two to help army group B. the middle of the offensive then collapsed, followed by leningrad and stalingrad, and the germans were too heavily hurt at this point to recover. russian bravado had little to do with it. the russians had their asses handed to them by finland(if you want to talk about primitive). the russian army was not very good.

considering the germans would need one man for every french soldier, it's pretty obvious they didn't capture them all. that's nothing to do with a concentrated effort by the germans, but rather an obvious logistical need. good thing you aren't in any sort of authority position. your horrendous interpretation of the most important war in modern history is scary.

i'm defending france under albert lebrun, not the vichy government, which was set up by germany. you act like the entire country was a willing participant in this. germany set up a puppet regime(vichy) and made them do whatever it was they wanted. the northern half of france, being entirely occupied by germany, was under direct supervision of the german armed forces. vichy was "willing" to have the germans remain and "keep the peace". by the way, i hope you're willing to condemn the united states and great britain for knowing about the holocaust and refusing to acknowledge it. or for the united states paltry attempt to help the jews (merely a thousand were brought over to the united states as an attempt to help them). ironic you mention the arc de triomphe, considering it was a commissioned over a french victory.

french resistance? giving up morocco and algeria to allow a beachhead for the invasion of africa? french colonies turning against vichy? do you know how many camps and prisons were set up to house french dissidents and POWs? as for the holocaust nonsense, i guess france was totally different from every other place germany occupied. i'm sure it was by choice they all told people where jews were. i surely doubt it was the fact that six armed men would show up at your door step and threaten to murder your family if you didn't point out where the jews were. i guess you'd be a real hero though, letting your family die like that, huh? you have an infantile grasp of the complexities of world war two. your assessment of almost a year and half of sporadic fighting followed by blitzkrieg(which no one knew how to counter, but it's just because the french are cowards, right?) is that "the french are cowards".

the russians won because of their winter and communism you dolt. russia wasn't nearly as destroyed in ww1 as france was, and had WAY more man power to give to the fight. thanks to stalin, anything he said was law and happened immediately. the winter halted the push into stalingrad, had hitler not made the same mistake as napoleon, stalingrad and moscow would have fallen. after stalingrad, the caucuses was wide open and russias oil supply would have dried up over night. and why would that have made a difference if they burned paris? they didn't have nearly the equipment the germans did, or the man power. had they fought like russia, they still would have lost. they had almost no airforce, and all their tanks were light tanks from ww1. and they barely had enough small arms or soldiers to man the maginot line, let alone fight a traditional war. poland was a pansy country for losing in a month too, huh? i guess the length of time it takes to lose determines how much of a brave country you are. you're such a twit. once again, i guess 300,000 dead soldiers is a joke to you. maybe china can invade the united states some day and kill a couple hundred thousand people so you can laugh at that too. by the way, germany took hundreds of thousands of french POWs, that "put your arms down and go home" thing is complete BS. what, did you read that in a chain email or something?

took longer than two weeks, and despite knowing they would lose, they fought until germany had occupied 75% of the country. instead of letting them burn Paris, Lyons, Marseilles, etc, they capitulated and vichy france was formed. and you sound like an ignorant moron that doesn't know anything about history and finds it all too comforting to assume no other country made any sort of sacrifice in world war 2 but america. you're right, i don't have a sense of humor when it comes to making fun of war dead. i just don't seem to find dead soldiers very humorous.C'est la vie.

of course you have to bring race into it to try and make it sound worse. yes, it is wrong. because they're starting an open fire within city limits, which is against the law. they probably broke another code about open flames near buildings, etc. aside from that, burning a cross. if you could prove it was a sign of protest and somehow didn't break five other laws in the process, wouldn't have been a crime UNTIL asked to leave by the own of the property. this is also assuming they didn't burn it on the part of the yard between the street and sidewalk, as technically the city owns that. and that would be a whole slew of other laws broken.
