From my pinboard, I tried to have a variety of crossover links. Hope y'all can find some you like:

The planets really aligned for this one, a hockey rpf/Veronica Mars crossover. You don't need to know much about hockey, but the VM mystery aspect is spot-on.

this one goes out to, a Les Mis/HP crossover. E/R on a renegade radio station.

At Tilde, a Matilda/Avengers crossover. I think I first heard about this one on The Toast in fact! Gen fic with Matilda in the Avengers universe.

Belle Époque, a Downton Abbey/The Eagle crossover. Such repressed emotions in both universes, so this fic has great atmosphere.

The Strength of the Wolf Is the Pack, a Generation Kill/Teen Wolf crossover. Rudy Reyes is Erica Reyes' uncle. This one makes me so happy! #ericalives

pretty maids all in a row, a Buffy/Secret Garden crossover. Mary Lennox, vampire slayer.

The Ivory Horn, a HDM/Narnia crossover. So plotty and good.

Thanks! I've been putting it off for months for just the same reason tbh. I've even been on meds before but still I worried whether they would think I was just trying to hoodwink them or something. Luckily, I found a good psychiatrist. Now to find a therapist! Good luck to you <3

Thank you and congrats to you too! I'm very excited for this psychiatrist so my next hunt will be for a good therapist who takes my insurance. Sorry about your psychiatrist but definitely glad you're trying to move on! I've only been scolded twice by healthcare providers, and they've both been male psychiatrists.

I got a list of books to read about women with ADHD from my doctor and took an online quiz from additudemag.com. I gotta see which books are at my library now, and I'll look for Solden's too!

We are legion. I went into the meeting thinking I was just depressed, and at the end of describing myself, my nurse said, "Well obviously you have depression AND anxiety, and you're ticking a lot of boxes for ADHD." O_O = my face.

I am so sorry to hear about your GP. Not sure what system you're in but could you get a second opinion? Yeah, I always worry before first appointments that the healthcare provider will think I'm too functional to be on meds even when I'm clearly struggling a lot to hold it together. I always debate in the back of my mind whether I should show up in my normal clothes and make up or in sweatpants and ratty hair or something.

Yepppp. Usually I continue doing it until I'm almost sick of myself/the regrettable thing. Then I talk to my straight-talking mom or friends (or therapist when I had one), and they ask if that's really what I want to be doing. I say maaaaybe not and they give me the "well there you go" gesture. And I do it a little more and eventually stop. That probably doesn't help at all but that seems to be my usual path-of-least-resistance strategy.

I finally went to a new psychiatrist and got back on meds! I dearly hope this helps me especially since I semi have a new diagnosis as well. I just watched a youtube video about a woman with ADHD that had depressive symptoms and lo and behold, that might be me too.

So... exciting new chapter in my life. Anyone else have good stories from this week?

https://pinboard.in/popular/fandom = Another good place to get fanfic recommendations. You can do a Search All with your pairing's name! They tend to be from AO3 as well, but sometimes Pinboard has those hidden treasures that didn't get a ton of kudos/are newly posted.
