I first got sick in 1998, was diagnosed with CFS in 1999. Was able to keep working until 2005. Applied for Social Security disability, was denied, went through the whole process, finally had a hearing in January 2009, final denial of my first request. I am now going through the process again, waiting for a hearing before an Administrative Law Judge. This was one of the best articles I've ever read about the disability process.
