I dreamt this morning that it was the late 1800s and i went and signed up with the local suffragist organization. I think this is very much related to today.

Yes! Would absolutely buy if products went up that had comments or themes on them (with whatever appropriate credit/payment? to the originator(s)).

Would also wear as a wee necklace. You know the kind, one of those little square ones that's actually a Scrabble tile but they put the picture on the flip side of the letter?

(not to derail, but...I still haven't figured out where in the political spectrum the Lib Dems sit. Are they right of Labour, to the left of Cons? Can anyone elaborate?)

The Toast : Cocktail Hour: Open Thread

The last thing I want is to be trying to manage my feelings about just regular life stuff - trying not to seem sad so my boyfriend won't be sad that I'm sad would be exhausting, and also a pattern it would be very easy for me to fall into, based on past experience. OMG yes. I don't want to have to be mollycoddling anyone and having to do all that additional labour. I think the discussion framework I would like to ideally have is, here are all the messy human emotions I am potentially going to have, and all I ask is that you nod and agree that I'm having them, and let me get through it, because I will, I'm an adult. And I'm also capable of holding multiple truths in my head at once: that you're busy and need to do something; that I'm sad you won't be around; and that you'll be back when you can.

I am going back to Ikea for more small storage boxes, in an effort to wrangle my stuff into something resembling order. Also I need a haircut, stat. But I could also use some reassurance that I wasn't being totally stupid this week, more details in reply.
