<description>Thanks for the advice John!  After conferring with Ernie about my last brew, we both agree that the likely culprit was aeration of the wort while it was still hot.  I will take measures to prevent this from happening in the future.    I checked out your website, and I was delighted to find a &amp;quot;how-to guide&amp;quot; on using a conical fermenter.  It opened my eyes to a couple of things that I may have missed for the first couple of brews. </description>
