Yeah they are the liberally minded party, not the "classical liberals" of our conservative "Liberal" party. "Robert Hawke" (Bob Hawke) is the Labor Prime Minister who brought the idea of "Political Correctness" to our country. I would hardly describe him as having conservative cultural leanings.
