Yes, we\\\'ve used this approach to catalyze church planting movements around the world. Over 80,000 churches in North India, with over 2 million new believers in 18 years. Over 8000 churches in Africa, over 200,000 new believers, in the last 5 years. One of our partners is using this approach in Honduras. They\\\'ve started 300 Discovery Bible Studies with lost people in the last year. We\\\'ve also started 193 groups in San Jose Bay Area in the last 9 months. 100 of those groups are now groups of baptized believers. All of these groups are among various generations, various levels of technology, and various levels of literacy - from illiterate to highly educated. Blessings, -Paul.

Hi Jerald, If you want to implement these groups within your church, you can start with doing the things in this post. Of course, if you want to catalyze movements, this post just describes one part of a system that needs to be in place for movements to happen. That is what this series of posts is about. If you don't want to implement Discovery Groups as part of a system to catalyze movements, that is ok. Wanting more and asking for more are different from having the capacity to receive more. Love-motivated obedience increases our capacity to actually receive what God is more than willing to give. Yes, we can want more of the Holy Spirit. Yes, we can ask for more of the Holy Spirit. Yes, God is willing to give more of Himself and the Spirit. But, the implication of John 14 and other New Testament passages is that obedience, motivated by love, is what makes us able to receive more of the Holy Spirit. Clinton, you asked an excellent question. I really appreciate questions like this because they force me to think, talk with my mentors, and consider how to articulate things better. Blessings, -Paul.
