Breitbart.tv : Union Goons Attempt To Occupy Conservative Conference

Yeah jobs went overseas because people who are in Mitt Romney's group of friends realized they couldn't make as much of a profit here where unions fought for employers' rights, decent wages, and an acceptable workday. If there were no unions people here would be working like those overseas with harsh working conditions and little pay (example-Apple). All big company owners care about is making a profit. Unions fought for the employers' rights and they left because they couldn't make as large a profit anymore. Do you even realize that the eight-hour workday was started through socialism and unions? Huge increase in new auto jobs? Why? Just say thanks to Obama. (Unless maybe you would rather prefer the conservative idea of allowing everything to crash to the bottom)

Big Government : BREAKING: Unions, Occupy Start Clashes Outside CPAC

To Jamesb, You've called this person, dingchavez, many names but I think you can stop now. You've masterfully displayed your lack of intelligence, lack of ability to engage yourself in any sort of debate with someone who holds a different opinion than your own, and your personality reflects that of a spoiled child who can't get his way. But anyway, dingchavez owned you in this small conversation. I'm guessing that now you're going to reply and call me pathetic, a coward, a nazi, and a communist...But please, make sure you put your apostrophes in the right place and spell the words correctly

Big Government : State of the Union Open Thread

Obama represents the majority of the population who elected him in a democratic process, whether you come to accept that fact or not. He represents certain groups who happen to make up the majority. And please, your comment about women who love to murder their babies is unnecessary. Pro-life advocates are mostly driven by Christian beliefs. And if you haven't noticed, not everyone in this country is a Christian. It's funny how conservatives speak of individual liberties and not wanting the government to interfere with their own business and yet they expect the government to enforce laws banning abortion. If you don't agree with abortion, don't do it. Simple as that. Let those "sinners" do what they want. At the end of the day, you have no say as to what a woman decides is in the best interest. And you, my friend, are just another crappy person in general who speaks as if he knows the good of the world by viewing problems in his own eyes and none others. And really, those types have been reserved a seat at the bottom of hell since the beginning of their support for oppression and injustice.

That makes no sense whatsoever. So colleges and universities are obligated to raise their price of tuition because the government provides loans to students who aren't able to pay the cost? If it was so affordable, no loans would've been taken out. But I guess you find it okay for a college to raise tuition to unreasonable prices because the average person was gaining access to education by the government. Please, the horrors that would come from an average Joe attending college and trying to get an education.

"since about the 1930s, if not before"..ever heard of the Great Depression? The New Deal was implemented by Roosevelt to revive the country from the mess your free market capitalism produced, and began successful programs, most notably Social Security. You're talking about such a "successful system" yet I don't see anything successful about it when the vast majority of African-Americans in this country weren't benefiting at all. About 22 million at that time. But capitalism has kept on in this country and after civil rights efforts finally people are starting to see this system isn't based on race, but on social class, hence all racial and ethnic groups are suffering.

First of all many of the ideologies of fascism disagree with that of Marxism and Socialism. Second, this free market capitalism that "made this country great" has kept African-Americans, (more recently Latinos), and Whites struggling for common needs to succeed in a modern society, such as an affordable education, etc., etc. Technically G.W. Bush was your leader who brought free market capitalism and look what it did to the economy (And please don't try to deny that. Even your senator from Indiana spoke of this point in his response). And lastly, "We," as I come to recognize regards "We the People" and the most recent electoral process elected Barack Obama as President. So with all due respect, your "We" represents the minority of this country's population.

GM also has the most sales: 9 million vehicles were sold in 2011. And of course it hasn't paid it back yet. You don't pay back 52 billion dollars overnight, let alone a three year period when the first part was mainly focused on rebuilding the company. Give it time and you'll see that the loan will be paid back in its entirety.

I feel sorry for you. Not once did I say or mention that I thought the "liberal political mindset" is superior. And actually, just for your information, I disagree with as much liberal politics as I do conservative politics. Both parties are corrupt and make promises that sound good to the ear but are deceiving. Since this is a Republican site, I prefer to speak against many Republican claims and misinterpretation of facts, trying to get others to look at proposals and ideas with an open mind, anything that could benefit the country and globe as a whole, instead of solely committing themselves to conservative ideas. But I've come to the conclusion that you are one of those who lack the desire to view eye to eye with anyone who differs with your own opinions (and that's all that they are: opinions. Not facts). Like I said I feel sorry for you. P.S.
Thank you for reenforcing my original post. Reread it and maybe you would be able to recognize yourself as one of those whom I've described as thinking that only their ideas are worth any substance. And no offense but replies such as your last have no place in any sort of political discussion.

more than 500,000 youths now have healthcare insurance. that's 500,000 more than if "obamacare" hadn't been implemented. I guess you would rather have people not have such a necessity and rather let them go uninsured. Your idea greatly represents the lack of compassion for human life that "conservatives" have, only interested in their personal gain from decreased taxes. Obsessed with money and self absorbed describes a large majority of Republicans perfectly. You can't even see the help that "obamacare" gives to thousands of Americans

Such closed mindedness...It's a shame the majority on this board believe you're ideas are superior to all others. You all must believe that you're "true Americans" also. If you were truly citizens of this country, a country that has the potential to positively impact this world, you wouldn't turn the channel, you wouldn't mock a speech or a man that the country has elected its leader, you wouldn't brush away any Democratic suggestions to improving this economy and state of this country. The man has elected to lead through bipartisanship and the Republican party has solely been motivated to destroy his presidency even if it means the turmoil of this country. A blind eye doesn't have the ability to see its surroundings, and that is exactly what many on this board have adopted. No open mindedness equals no progress. Point blank

Big Government : Exclusive: Black Congressman Defends Newt from Charges of Racism

Ignorant and mis-informed is J.C. Watts. People say he's "a credit to his race.....................the human race." He's what Malcolm X would call an "intellectual, house negro", or in more blunt terms, an Uncle Tom. This man is a disgrace to his race. He supports a system that has oppressed the black man for over 400 years in this country, a system which has oppressed the continent of Africa and the beautiful people of that land by the hands of the British Empire. He supports a system, which quite frankly, benefits himself and a few select peers, not the majority of the people. Newt Gingrich doesn't have to say the words "I don't like blacks or Latinos" to be understood as being racist by the choice words he uses throughout political debate and discussion. If you can't see that, or deny that, I feel sorry for you. Would I not be considered racist and discriminatory if I say that I believe all white children are lazy and essential pathetic, that they don't know the value of work and should work as sanitary employees who clean up the feces of others? You people are disappointing. At least I had respect for the Republicans of the past who weren't afraid to say that they didn't care much for minorities. I didn't agree with them but at least I could respect them for not being hypocrites. Modern Republicans are like the Northern Democrats of the '60s who smiled in the Afro-American's face and later stabbed him in the back with policies and laws that didn't help eliminate poverty or unemployment among minority communities. And for the record I have no problem with calling J.C. Watts a house negro and an Uncle Tom. I speak the truth as I see it and how I've come to learn it through reading and research. He's just another minority thinking that by kissing the behind of the white man that they're going to get a piece of the pie. I guarantee that he's another person who says he's proud of his ancestry and his people and his race yet rejects the very idea of Pan-Africanism and African unity. He doesn't identify with the black masses. He feels superior to his brothers and sisters who are bunched in the ghettos and doesn't care about them or their future..Another bright mind who could be helping the masses but instead he's a brainwashed individual looking out for his own personal wants at the expense of others.

Big Government : Race Baiting in South Carolina Primary Politics? Just Ask Hillary Clinton

I'm sorry but you Republicans, "Conservatives," "Right-wing American patriots" who feign to the public, but more pathetically, to yourselves, that you hold the best interests of this country dear to your heart should be ashamed of yourselves. I've come to this website several times to get a good laugh at your "intellectual" debates, forums, and discussions about how X, Y, and Z, and have truly laughed a good amount of times about your accusations of President Obama, Democrats, the Democratic Party, or quite frankly, anyone who doesn't agree with your particular agenda. People who speak so boldly on this website give very little reason to support their claims and usually sound like Romney: "America's right, you're wrong!" (Because we all know that kind of opinionated and biased reasoning trumps facts and a true evaluation of circumstances) I mean seriously, out of all the people here who speak so poorly of Communism or Socialism, how many have actually read texts such as the Communist Manifesto, Capital, or other works by Marx or Engels? Or how many people here have actually read about the true history of foreign countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, or Latin America? Or even history about this country? How many people have actually tried to consider the other side of the spectrum and analyze opinions with an open mind rather than swallowing up what your high school teacher told you (Or people like Glenn Beck, who, if you didn't know, only has achieved a level of formal education equivalent to a high school diploma?) without actually making a decision for yourself? "Communism has killed over 100 million people!" That's a common statement on this site. Mind you, in essence, communism is nothing more than an economic philosophy and system. The killings that occurred resulted from forms of government and people that were corrupt and evil. But please, let us all conveniently forget the mass genocide the United States committed against the Native Americans in this country..Let us forget the atrocities of slavery and economic oppression, as well as the civil and human injustices against African-Americans in this country..Let us forget the Vietnam War that the United States provoked through the Gulf of Tonkin incident and proceeded to murder millions of Vietnamese men, women, and children. Let us forget the imperialism and colonization of Latin America. Let us forget the embargo placed on the Cuban people in attempts to suffocate the means of trade to show how "communism" fails... I mean, it is sad that you people actually would rather have privatized healthcare and education, when at the end of the day, the majority of you wouldn't benefit from a system of that kind. You support a system that doesn't support you back. You defend a party that wouldn't hesitate to stab you in the back for their own personal wants and greed. Get rid of Medicare and Medicaid, or "Obamacare" as you say, and wait and watch. When you, or your son, or your wife, or your husband, or anyone close to you gets terribly ill and isn't able to pay for proper medical care and attention, just watch how you're going to blame the government for causing this, for not providing healthcare to Americans. Ignorance truly is bliss, just hope that that smile on your face doesn't get knocked off in the future. The Republican Party is on the edge of demise, corrupted by racism, greed, immoral behavior, and an infatuation for money over human life, equality, justice, liberty, and freedom. In other words, through its association with Capitalism, which Marx correctly believed would produce its own failure through its progression over time, the Republican Party, as well as the Democratic Party, are hurling the US towards a dark future. But those are my two cents for you..Please keep going on and entertaining me with great comedy. Sometimes I think that one of you guys could possible replace the antics of pathetic "politicians" like Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, and Newt with some of the stuff you say here. I still think "Drill Baby, Drill!" and "I can see Russia from my house" are at the top of the list though...
