Yours was my favourite of the "old logo" icons. I just felt the new logo needed to be represented. I will upload the preview image to flickr asap!

Hey Justin, I think for me, my fear would be that we would put the desire to proselytize the world ahead of Jesus' command to take care of those in need. I think when we say "take care of the spiritual side as well," we are separating different aspects of one life, which is a very western way of looking at life. I think if we spent time in different cultures, we would see that they see all of life as a single compartment, that when you feed on literal bread you are feeding both the physical and spiritual bodies.

Hey Dave, That's awesome! It sounds like you have a great relationship with your child. Do you write every month or so? Would you tell us a bit more about what the child is like, what the relationship is like, etc?

Thanks for the comment Dave! I have to admit, my desire in this isn't really to be part of a mission to convert other cultures to Christianity. Though, you are right when you say the child/sponsor relationship model is symbollic of the Chris/Christian relationship: "For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink." (Matthew 25:35). Christ is those children who we are called to feed and clothe.
