Given the events of just today (the auto-maker bailout bill's end in the Senate and subsequent White House call for the bailout money to come from the previously passed funding bill that was intended to help the mortgage lenders and banks), we need to continue and increase our activity at local and regional and national levels regarding how we spend and save our funds.
Long term solutions are coming into focus. What I for one would love to read about in more depth here are simple, immediate solutions individuals can undertake to help not just themselves but others.
Thank you.

Nationalize the towers and place them under the jurisdiction of the FCC for monitoring and the Interior department for their localization and upkeep.
The companies will then have their company's service features to inter-compete with (a reasonable activity), they will pay the Federal Government for the service upkeep of towers (revenue for the Budget), limitations in service will be subject to the technology of the time rather than the cost of providing the service through the company (equalizing customer access and protecting neutrality) and finally the locations of the towers can finally be monitored and constructed through a streamlined and environmentally responsible methodology (no longer requiring companies to go through permission checks to build their own towers thus saving money and lowering costs for service.)
It's an idea. Thoughts?

We face a future that expects an enormous increase in the numbers of retirees, chronically ill patients and with them increased medical costs unless something is done to stem the tide of this financial mess.
More medical workers will be needed (and I'm not talking about just nurses and doctors). Medical technicians and hands-on caregivers as I have been will be the most critically needed workforce in the future; but there is a lack of educators to train this new workforce and an even larger shortfall in the pay that is needed to fund programs for schools to hold these courses.
What I've read about mostly is how investing money in the infrastructure of our roads and is a good idea to create jobs and grow the blue-collar sectors. I agree with this given the number of road, bridge and rail projects that have been drawn-up, approved and are simply awaiting the funding to move forward. What's missing are the programs to start and teach the trades that will increase American's workforces and provide a new stimulus to the economic system of our nation.

I'd say this is a reasonable progression from the anonymity that could exist on MyBO.

Perhaps the team would consider creating a group of free-lance Moderators to help stem the tide of trolls, spammers and sock-puppets?

Please, define what you consider to be a "socialist health care system".
