We made some for supper on Saturday actually! It was amazing! But if you like to bring leftovers to work for lunch like I do... well, it's pretty decadent.
I've been seeing a lot of "innocent until proven guilty" comments about Jian Ghomeshi. Do people think that means that you can't possibly have an opinion that differs from Jian's statement until it's 'proven'?
One guy is demanding a retraction and an apology by the Guardian for 'violating community standards'! Have you seen Jessica Valenti's column on the Guardian? The comments are absolutely horrifying, every time. And I guess because it's weekly, the same trolls congregate every week to pile on even further.
Oh god. Oh goddddd.
I think I'm going to print this up for myself and refer to it the next time I'm tempted to send panicky text messages to all of my friends.
I like the mechanics of the King Arthur one better (Merlin! Morgana! everyone!) but I like the sci-fi theme more - it's easier to make up your own fake missions. Like, ok we're going to go blow up the Wal-Mart now, we hate evil corporations that want to take over our government versus... I've got nothing for Avalon. We're going to pull some swords out of stones and I need two other people to come with me? Obviously I need to read some Mists of Avalon for inspiration.
I live in the Junction! The Junction is great! There's so much to do there that you don't need to go downtown-ish if all of your friends live there, but they will only come out to your area like every few months they don't because, you know, buses. It's about a 20 minute walk to the Bloor line, if sidewalks are passable (which they are not right now).
