And when a special forces sniper aims at you you are very dead and yes, it's bloody. The live fire scenes are simply amazing. Seeing the swift boats roar in with their mini guns blazing you can see for one of the first times in a movie just how it is that small groups of special forces easily overwhelm much larger forces, not just with an ability to move far more quickly and decisively, but with the astounding amount of firepower they can bring to bear with little delay. No spewing bullets mindlessly like children and Hollywood like to do. They are disciplined men who love their families and their country. They aren't after indigenous people, gold, or oil, for God's sake, they are warriors. So there is no need for unbelievable and impossible plot twists to give them other motivations. They are very intelligent. Aside from the fact many seals know multiple languages, medicine at an MD level etc. this movie shows them as they adjust and change their plans constantly in order to succeed, and that may be their single greatest asset. They are outthinking their enemies- and are the very best in the world at doing it!
