In a report issued last week: This month a federal audit reveals that, after nearly a decade, the TSA still can’t guarantee that agents working in “secure” areas of airports don’t pose a risk. That’s because the agency doesn’t always verify the identity of job applicants or even their legal status against a government immigration database. This means that the TSA can’t account for agency employees with access to secure areas of airports, according to a Homeland Security Inspector General report made public a few days ago.

This episode, and many like it, begins with "anonymous" tipster conjuring up suspected activity. These so called "anonymous" should be yanked of the plane as well. You should have the right to confront your accuser. Might give pause to morons acting like goodie two shoes .... Bottom line is we should have taken the Israeli lead, when they offered to teach us their pre-flight evaluation of people waiting in line at the ticket counter. Thankfully my days of business flying are long gone. But I would ask you who are still frequent fliers, try this little experiment. Next trip, pick out a fellow passenger, and watch them as the flight progresses. I am almost positive that sooner or later, your mind is going to begin to set up scenario, leading you to become an "anonymous tipster." And just to make sure it is a valid experiment, make sure you pick out someone who is "not one of us....."
