Yeah, I've lost 30 Rock trivia, but when the major trade-off is 'living in an apartment that's bigger than a dog house".. .

Omg this is one of the only things that has made me regret that I moved out of Brooklyn. If I hadn't, I so would have been there.

Well, I've always been sort of a terrible hipster. But, I recently realized that I was always doomed to be one, and the evidence is that I was over Hanson before they were cool.

My uncle is an entertainment lawyer so was always giving me CDs before they came out. I was obsessed with Hanson for like a year before that album came out and they got huge, but by the time they did I was like 'ugh, everyone's into them now. They totally sold out. I'm more into their old stuff'. I was 8.

A. Springsteen live is AMAZING. I attribute one of his concerts to giving me the first push out of a months-long depression.

B. I was at said concert with my entertainment lawyer uncle and some of his rich white friends, and one of them said "Do you think it makes him sad to look around and see how old this audience is?" And I was like "dude, all my friends love Bruce Springsteen. These tickets cost $150, though, do you think that might have anything to do with it?" So, I don't know about POC, but he definitely has fans in the younger demographic that just can't afford to go to his shows.

I didn't think about them much in the past. . .but they seem like they get closer and closer to me. First San Bernadino, when I live in LA, then UCLA, where my boyfriend works, then one targeted at queer people when my boyfriend is trans (which felt like a bit of stretch in my anxiety-brain until they found that man with explosives on his way to LA pride. . .). I'm definitely starting to feel jumpy and I'm not sure what to do about it.

I do like the joint-purchase credit card idea, but I agree that settling up once a month can be stressful! Geez, you think there'd be easier ways to do this. Maybe I should just declare I'm going to stop working and be a housewife, to make money sharing less complicated.

I actually really love this idea, mostly because the literal shared wallet is cute. Thanks!
