They also create a lot of business through renting homes, buying and maintaining cars, purchasing groceries, etc. One of the effects of the raids in Postville and Marshalltown was the drop in sales for the local American-owned businesses. If Americans aren't working the jobs that illegal aliens are right now, it's because Americans can't get by on those wages or refuse to work in those conditions, or because certain business don't want potential whistle blowers working for them. People who conduct these stings are well trained in how to pose as a child without entrapping the predator. These stings are thankfully legal, and they require the pedophile to take meaningful steps toward the completion of a crime before they can be arrested. I'd say showing up at a marina in another town for the express purpose of hooking up with a minor under the age of 16 (age of consent in Iowa) fills the bill.
